Hello to Splinterlands and Hive Fam,
Hope life is treating you well wherever you are in this part of the world.
The current season is about to end in a day, so I want to take this time to talk about the journey in this season that I have gone through. I want to mention that, slowly and gradually I am growing up with my knowledge and understanding about this gaming project. I was struggling a lot in the beginning and that is where my mentor helped me in the initial learning. I agree that there is a lot for me to learn even now and I will continue to do that because I don't think I can finish it off in a day. It's a journey that will continue to be for the long term and I'm fine with that. I continue to learn and explore more while playing the battle, but for the last two days, I have not played the battle.
So, like I said, this season is about to end in a day, and I have made it to the Diamond League already. Because I could not play for the last two days, it did not affect my level because I am planning to end the season in diamond. So this diamond is diamond three league, and I don't think even after trying a lot I will be able to make it diamond. The reason is simple: because of the ongoing competition on the battleground. This season was difficult for me because I was not able to win so many battles in the beginning.
I also observed that there is high level competition in first few days of the season start. So, for a player like me, the right strategy would be to play less at the beginning of the season and focus more when a couple of days have passed. I do not have that much card that can put me forward in the game in terms of the level and league, so in this scenario, I should give the time to the ones who are pro in the gaming.
Here is the view of the current season, which will be ending in one day and 7 hours from the time I am writing this blog. I currently stand in the diamond three league, and if I play more, there is a possibility that I can move to the next one, which will be diamond two. There can be some difference in the reward, but that also comes with the risk because if I lose some battles, I might have to slip down to the Gold League, and I will never want this, at least in the season. But I see that there is a buffer which I can somehow manage, so we'll see if I get some time today to play more battles, and if not then I'm also happy to end the season in the current diamond three league.
So this strategy comes with the experience that I have learned in the current season. I will not be playing more battles just after the season starts rather, I will give it some time and will play very few battles so that I can keep my energy count high. I have not purchased the energy, but if needed, I can do that also, and I know the options are there. Buying energy and playing more battles is a good option, but it is only making a difference if we win more battles. I would never want to invest energy when I'm losing more battles because it is not going to bring me any value. When the season is halfway through, I think it is the right time to play more battles, so I'll be doing the same. This way, I will also try to grow my league to where I want it to be and then just manage it. Even in the next season, I will try to stay in the Diamond League, so I will try to give my best shot to unlock the league and keep it stable.
I was lucky that I was invited to join the guild. When I joined that time, I had no idea how this part worked in the game apart from the regular battle, but now I figured out that it is a good option. There is also some sort of small sea chain where I am supposed to create my teams in one go, and that is all I need to do. Before this, I need to join the fray, which is good for me. It is another action, but it is also done by the Guild most of the time so there is nothing much left for me where I need to take action. After the end of every guild season, I get some reward, and there are two components of the reward. I get married, which I can use to buy packs, and SPS is the another form of reward, which is well known that it is an important coin of the splinterlands gaming ecosystem.
Now I am excited for the end-of-season reward because my multiplier is more than 12X as of now, and I have already spent all the glint rewards I have generated through the battle. Whatever I got from the season in reward is already spent to buy some digital assets. Now, I don't know what quantity of glint I'm going to receive, but all the balance will be spent in the market right after the season end so that I can add more cards to my collection. I'm pretty much aligned with the game and just trying to grow my overall assets holding. When I say asset, it is not just about the cars, but I am also talking about tokens and anything available in the game ecosystem, which can also empower my gaming experience and take it to the next level. I will also be required to work on the rental because now the changes are done in the game and we are not allowed to take the cards on the rental beyond the season. It increases the manual intervention, but that's what it is, and I will try to keep myself familiar with the change in some time.
