Greetings Splinterlovers 💚

Hoping you had a happy New Year and are ready for 2026 to come with everything it has to offer, I want to start my first post of the year by talking about "Splinterlands" and the best way to earn rewards while improving your gameplay. Of course, you probably already have an idea of what it's about, However, what I'm going to explain will help you improve in many areas, especially in earning rewards, because if you improve your game and become players who can compete at the highest level, the rewards will be very good.

But to achieve this, you need to put in a lot of effort and follow the step-by-step guide I will mention in this post, because the problem with not accelerating your progress is not following the step-by-step instructions. I imagine that some will comment that they don't have enough experience, but I have been playing the game since 2020 and I am sure that I have the experience to guide any player. Although I know that I am not a very active player right now, I still have significant assets and investments in the game, and my commitment is to the community and its growth.

With that clear, in this tutorial or step-by-step guide, you will understand how to improve your gameplay in order to obtain greater rewards over time, so if you are ready, let's begin with this post:

You need to learn this to improve.

Before diving into how to improve directly, I want to emphasize what you absolutely must learn in order to defend yourself in the game and continue advancing, because without this, you will not be able to accelerate your progress, which in the short, medium, and long term will make it difficult for you to earn the most rewards.

So, at this point, you should be able to imagine what I mean. I've said it many times, but it's always worth remembering, because this is what made me improve my game without a doubt:

  • Learn the game's "Rules/Modifiers": The first thing you should do to improve your game, and it's not optional, is to learn everything about the rules and/or modifiers of the game. The reason for this is very simple: these modifiers, formerly known as rules, dictate the course of a battle and how players act accordingly. Knowing this can help you in the 3 or less minutes it takes to choose a team to put together a very solid strategy, or several of them, in fact.

  • Learn the "Skills" of the game: This is basically the same as above, since most modifiers are based on existing skills. However, learning about the skills will help you get to know your deck of cards, which is very useful because it will allow you to relate to your cards, meaning that your search and response time for putting together a team will be much longer.

  • Learn from other players: Something that helped me grow a lot as a Splinterlands player at the time was observing the lineups and/or combinations that other players made. In fact, many of these players are still in the game today and have much more experience than I do. You can watch their battles and come up with combinations that you would never have thought of yourself. You can also save them and put them into practice, just as I will show you in the next section.

In the next section, I will show you how you can practice without risking your real game ranking. Of course, practicing in ranked battles is very good, but often you can consume capital and resources and still not get the results you want. That's why having an environment where you can put what you've learned into practice is ideal before going straight into real competition, so in the next section we'll see how to do that.

How can you practice what you learn in real practice battles?

Okay, before I share a battle I played, I'll describe the route you should follow to play without the results affecting your rating in the game, which is ideal for relatively new accounts or those who really want to learn so they can then enter the competitive aspect with full force.

Paso 1.png

  • Step 1: The first thing to do is enter the game, log in with your account, go to the "Play" option, and select "Practice."

Paso 2.png

  • Step 2: After this, you just have to set the difficulty level of the fictional opponent you will face, choose the cards, whether to use your own or the famous cards called "Ghosts," then choose the level you want for those cards. You only have five options, so there's no complication there. Finally, choose the opponent's level, where you only have three options.

Note: With this, you are now ready to play. Although there are several levels, if you are new to the game, I recommend starting with at least the first two levels of cards. Once you have mastered them, you can move up to higher levels. This also applies to your opponent's level.

Conclusion

By applying all of this, you will be ready for battle at any time. Practice, don't stop practicing. I am sure that you will become formidable players if you master everything I have mentioned above.

I hope this has been helpful, and I'll see you in the next post.

With nothing further to add, until next time, "Splinterlords."

I invite everyone to join Splinterlands, the best game based on chains of blocks, full of adventures, battles, and strategies where you will have fun and get rewards according to your league
