I was really lucky last time because I rolled out fight with the boss. This is really rare event and always when I have opportunity to play versus boss I'm trying to play my best. So the same was in this time when I faced hard level boss 3rd time. My win ratio versus him after 2 boss fights is 1W 1L. But this is 3rd time so who won this time?!

3rd attempt

As you know me I play really long time in Splinterlands. So playing easy or medium challenge for me would be too easy. So I always try to play versus hard level boss. No matter if I win or lose. It helps me get better experience with frontier cards which in moment of battle I have access to full collection and all these pretty new cards from extra edition. So this is really a nice opportunity to test them in battle because I don't have them at max lvl right now. Maybe in the future when I find more free time I could back to activly play frontier mode but right now I can only play Boss fight from time to time when I have an occasion!

So It was unexpected event to fight versus him. I was logged in my phone and I just use wheel and then I saw that I got PIT CHALLENGE! So let's go!

Ok, how looks this BIG BOY!

It looks like he could be realy strong. Magic attacks are bad option right here. Not only because I get damage from magic back but even when I miss I get damage back. So playing with magic is pointless.

Another thing he have repair ability. So attacking him with melee attacks or with ranged attack reduce his armor. But I had no choice I need to setup my team with melee and ranged attackers, so here we go!

Time is the key - 60 min

I had enough time to think about best strategy. 60 min is a lot in Splinterlands for playing just 1 battle haha. It tooks me 10 min to pick up best team in my opinion and I decided to play with life color!

Boss have 4 speed and I decided to use units with 2-5 speed. Every speed difference is 10% bigger chance to miss the hit. So when Boss have 4 speed and my slowest unit have 2 speed I think this monster should have 80% chance for making damage. There were no defensive abilities like dodge or flying. SO yeah it could be 80%.

My tank with shield - reduce 50% damage from melee attacks. Boss have 8 AD so he would hit me for 4. I got additional 1 armor from archon so it looks like my tank should survive few rounds without problem. And remember even when you have only 1 armor it always tank all damage from melee attack if attacker have no percing ability.

This screen is before buff from my archon. So I would get friendly buff +1 armor to all monsters.

I killed him with no problems.

I thought at the beginning that it would be kinda hard boss but was one of the easiest one anyway :D
