Somewhere in the University of IbadanI can't believe I posted last 8 days ago. I had been postponing it until now, when I decided to share something about the happenings in my life that I've been keeping private for a while now.
I got a job. Yaaayyy.
It's a government one and the excitement on my face when I received my appointment letter last week knew no bounds. Since I completed my National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in 2024, I have been searching for jobs, and I continued the search when I moved to another city. I never thought it would get to this point where I would be searching for jobs for a long time.
It got to a point where the constant calls from family, asking about the update of my job were overwhelming, but I kept looking up to God and trusting Him. Honestly, I have never had to beg for food or get things done because God kept coming through for me.
A member of my church recommended some schools earlier this year for me to submit my CV, perhaps one would click. But the more I did that and no show up, the weaker I was becoming day after day. But guess what? It never stopped me from serving God and having my fellowship with Him. If there's one thing that has kept me going, it is the scripture in Matthew 6:33. The famous verse that says we should seek first the kingdom of God and its righteousness and every other thing would come after.
...and yes, one of them did!
I almost settled for a teaching job in a private school, which is more like a missionary school, with little pay, when I received a call from the government school I did an interview with. At the interview, we did both a written and an oral test, and we were strictly told that they only pick the one whose score is the best and not that someone would help you based on connection.
I was very optimistic about getting this job, but when nothing was happening for the few days I had waited, I decided to settle for something else because it was closer to home. Little did I know God was cooking something big for me. I know one thing assuredly: God's plan for me is good and not evil, to give me a future and a hope.
I went to the school after the call and received my appointment letter. Honestly, this would be my first time holding such a letter in my hands, and all I could see was God's hand.
Not only that...
My chin chin
I also started a chin-chin business, which has also taken much of my time. Part of what kept me away from here. I only jump in once in a while to check what is going on. I missed writing. I missed Hive. But that's life.
I gave it a name! Charis Crunchy ChinChin. βCharisβ is a Greek word for GRACE.
I can't believe I will eventually be working in a government school. But all glory to God for making it happen. My chin chin business is growing, too. I was excited when I got customers on the first day I started and it has been going smoothly. I send orders out, which makes it faster.
So, yes, Princess now has a job and a beautiful business that helps me financially.

Congrats on your business! I had to look up chin-chin...looks yummy!
Yes, it does. Thank you π
Awww, that's why you're MIA here. I am so happy for you, congratulations and good luck on that. And you have your own business, but what's that btw? Corn or something?
Congratulations! β¨
