Fashion trends? Perfect, but I'd rather admire from a distance. LOH #295

When it comes to fashion, I'm a strong believer in the popular saying, "Dress the way you want to be addressed."

To me, clothing is more than just fabric. It's one of the first things people notice about you, and whether we like it or not, it contributes to the first impression we leave behind. That's why I always try to dress neatly, comfortably, and appropriately for wherever I'm going.

Now, here's where things get a little funny.

As someone who doesn't particularly enjoy being the center of attention, I hardly ever dress to be noticed.

I'm not the type to wear outfits that instantly make people stop and stare. I don't naturally gravitate toward loud fashion pieces or styles that scream for attention. And because of that, I'm usually not a fan of trending clothes.

Not because they aren't beautiful.

Trust me, they are.

The problem is that trending clothes tend to... well... trend and the trend is the problem. 😂

Everyone knows them, everyone recognizes them, and somehow, I always convince myself that if I wear one, every single person around me will immediately notice. Whether that's actually true or not is another story, but that's exactly how my mind works.

Sometimes I'll scroll through social media and see people styling the latest fashion trends so effortlessly. They pair different pieces together, wear them with so much confidence, and somehow make everything look amazing.

Honestly?

I admire that.

I admire people who can confidently express themselves through fashion without worrying about who is looking or what people might think.

I wish I had just a little bit of that confidence.

Because if I should walk around wearing something that's currently everywhere on social media, I'd probably spend the entire day thinking everyone was staring at me.

And once I start thinking that, I'll become so self-conscious that there's a very high chance I'll trip over absolutely nothing.

That's just me.

Instead, I find myself reaching for simpler outfits. Clothes that make me feel comfortable. Clothes that don't demand attention but still make me feel presentable.

I've come to realize that fashion isn't only about following trends. It's also about knowing yourself.

Some people enjoy standing out, and that's perfectly okay.

Others, like me, prefer blending in while still looking elegant and put together.

Neither approach is wrong.

Fashion is personal.

It should reflect your personality, not someone else's expectations.

So while I'll continue admiring the latest trends from my phone screen and cheering on those who wear them so confidently, you'll most likely find me in my comfortable outfit, quietly enjoying my own little fashion lane.

And honestly?

I wouldn't have it any other way.

Enjoying your own little corner of fashion will undoubtedly reflect your personality, not someone else's expectations. As you say, dressing neatly, comfortably, and appropriately for each occasion is very valuable. Thank you for sharing your experiences,
