From Pastor’s Wife to Criminal Mastermind – The Twist in Marked (Tv Series)

I recently watched a movie on Netflix of recent which made me emotionally at some point, I didn't even know the movie will be that interesting because I skipped it multiple times before deciding to watch it plus it had only a few episodes and it showed what length a mother can go for her child/children. This movie is titled "Marked" and it featured a woman who was righteous, she was against anything bad, unjust and a good Christian and also married to a Pastor who wasn't really earning anything, she was a cop until she was suspended from duty after testifying against some unrighteous cop, for her to survive, she started working as a security guard (a driver) for a finance institution, even though she was underpaid, she was satisfied and even risked her life on various occasions just to deliver on her duty but things went bad when they discovered her only daughter had cancer and needed surgery which cost more than what she can afford.

She loved her daughter so much but the family were helpless in this situation, they started looking for who will help them, they went to meet their pastor for help but he gave them excuses, asked them to pray and their daughter will be healed even though he can help in raising funds, The woman (Babalwa) went to meet her boss at work who is capable enough to help turned her down, it reached a point that she became too desperate to save her daughter and I kind of remember this statement from a meerkat (Timon) in Lion king when he was advising Simba that "When the world turns its back against you, then you turn your back against the world", that was the exact situation Babalwa was, those she looked up to for help weren't ready to help and her husband can't help either so she decided to turn off her righteousness switch.

There was this kingpin who was asking her to join him in a heist but she refused and now that she is desperate to save her daughter, she gave in to the request in hijacking the van full of money she need to deliver to the financial institution but her plan was hijacked by the adopted son of the kingpin who was looking for the kingpin's favour and almost got her killed, later on, the kingpin got killed and things became complicated. Now she started planning a heist while the same kingpin's son who betrayed her plan in the first place and the interesting part was when she had to convince a worker in her workplace and some of her church members which the church failed, to join her in this heist. They were all new to the heist situation but were they able to pull it off? Did Babalwa's daughter get help or did she die of cancer, what happened to her boss? These questions made the movie interesting and also kept that curiosity alive.

Hahahaha... this caption falls to my interest, as discovered a lot, that is real, which a lot of people do today, not only the women, including the men as well.

From the title of your review alone, I knew it would be a great movie, lol 😂. They are people like that pastor in the world today, they know they can help financially but still choose not to, don't get why. This seem like a good movie my mom would enjoy, definitely adding to my "mom's watchlist". Thanks for sharing
