
Today I want to share the simple recipe that I cooked at home. It is crispy shrimp fritters made from very small shrimp. This recipe is easy and budget friendly but really delicious. We usually eat this with hot rice and vinegar on the side. Even my children enjoyed eating it with ketchup while it was still hot and crispy. My mother-in-law gave us this tiny shrimp and honestly it was my first time cooking it. So let's all learn the basics and try this flavorful dish.


1/4 kilo of tiny shrimp
2 meduim Onion
7 cloves of Garlic
Ground black pepper
Seasoning
2 chicken egg or duck egg
1/4 cup of flour
Cooking oil
You can also add chopped carrots, red bell pepper, celery. But this all the ingredients I have at home.
Step 1
I prepared the ingredients. chopped onions, garlic, ground black pepper, Magic Sarap, egg, and flour. I washed the shrimp first to make sure it was clean. Used the finest strainer you have at home. After that, I placed it in a bowl and prepared the other ingredients.




Step 2
Add the chopped onions and garlic into the shrimp. I also added black pepper and a little seasoning for more flavor. Then I cracked two eggs and mixed everything together. After mixing, I slowly added flour until the mixture became thicker and easy to shape. I just used spoon while mixing everything because its easier for me.


Step 3
When the mixture was ready, I heated enough oil in the pan. I scooped some mixture using a spoon and carefully placed it into the hot oil. I flattened it a little so it can cook evenly. I fried both sides until it became golden brown and crispy. The smell while cooking was really so good and made everyone hungry already.


Step 4
After frying, I placed the shrimp fritters on paper so the extra oil will drain. The outside became crispy while the inside stayed soft and flavorful. Honestly, this kind of food is simple but very satisfying specially when eaten with hot rice.


I also like this recipe because the ingredients are affordable and easy to find. You don’t need expensive ingredients just to make something delicious. It is also good for snacks or even for lunch and dinner.
