Hello lovelies, you just want something new? Are you looking for a delicious low-carb pizza option? Why not try the Skyr Pizza ala Tonno! This recipe combines the creamy flavour of skyr with hearty tuna and aromatic herbs. Let me tell you how easy it is, and it's so quick to make too.

Hallo ihr Lieben, ihr wollt einfach mal was Neues? Ihr sucht nach einer leckeren Low-Carb-Variante für Pizza? Probiert doch mal die Skyr Pizza ala Tonno aus! Dieses Rezept vereint den cremigen Geschmack von Skyr mit herzhaftem Thunfisch und aromatischen Kräutern. Lasst mich euch verraten, wie einfach das geht, und sie ist auch noch so schnell gemacht.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pot of skyr
  • 1 tin of tuna (drained)
  • 1 packet of frozen Italian-style herbs
  • 1 bag of grated cheese
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 medium red onion (finely chopped)
  • 1 medium-sized tomato (without skin, finely chopped)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Zutaten:
• 1 Becher Skyr
• 1 Dose Thunfisch (abgetropft)
• 1 Packung Tiefkühl-Kräuter italienischer Art
• 1 Tüte geriebener Käse
• 4 Eier
• 1 mittelgroße rote Zwiebel (fein gehackt)
• 1 mittelgroße Tomate (ohne Gehäuse, klein gehackt)
• Salz und Pfeffer zum Abschmecken

Preparation:

  1. preparation: Preheat the oven to 180 degrees fan. Line a baking tray with baking paper and spread a border of cheese on it.
  2. prepare the mixture: In a large bowl, mix the skyr, tuna, frozen herbs, tomato, grated cheese, eggs and finely chopped red onion until well combined. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  3. spread out: Spread the mixture evenly over the edge of the cheese on the baking paper.
  4. bake: Bake the Skyr Pizza in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes until it turns a golden brown colour and the mixture has set.
    5 Serve: Remove the pizza from the oven, leave to cool briefly and enjoy!

Zubereitung:

  1. Vorbereitung: Den Backofen auf 180 Grad Umluft vorheizen. Ein Backblech mit Backpapier auslegen und einen Rand aus Käse darauf verteilen.
  2. Masse zubereiten: In einer großen Schüssel Skyr, Thunfisch, Tiefkühl-Kräuter, Tomate, geriebenen Käse, Eier und die fein gehackte rote Zwiebel gut vermischen. Mit Salz und Pfeffer abschmecken.
  3. Verteilen: Die Masse gleichmäßig auf dem Käserand auf dem Backpapier verstreichen.
  4. Backen: Die Skyr Pizza für 30-40 Minuten im vorgeheizten Backofen backen, bis sie eine goldbraune Farbe annimmt und die Masse fest geworden ist.
  5. Servieren: Die Pizza aus dem Ofen nehmen, kurz abkühlen lassen und genießen!

Glad you mentioned it, I was really wondering if skyr is available everywhere like that... and was thinking about what you could use as an alternative and would describe it as a mix of yoghurt and low fat curd.
I'd be really interested to know if you have skyr.

I showed this recipe to someone yesterday. Skyr is available in her area, but she said Greek yoghurt would definitely work as a substitute if it is drained in cheesecloth for a bit. 🙂
