Fish Fillet topped with Mozarella Cheese.

( EN / DE ) Friday is usually fish day with us and so there was today once again this super simple but delicious recipe. All you need are fish fillets (fresh or frozen). Here you see plaice, but it also goes very well with pangasius or salmon fillets, only with salmon you can calculate less fish, because it makes so incredibly fast full.
Freitag ist bei uns meist Fischtag und so gab es heute mal wieder dieses super einfache aber leckere Rezept. Alles was ihr dafür braucht sind Fischfilets (frisch oder tiefgefroren). Hier seht ihr Scholle, es geht aber auch sehr gut mit Pangasius oder Lachs Filets, einzig beim Lachs kann man weniger Fisch berechnen, da der so unglaublich schnell satt macht.

Fish, precooked peeled potatoes, zucchini, tomatoes, olive oil, spices, an oven and go:
Fisch, vorgekochte geschälte Kartoffeln, Zucchini, Tomaten, Olivenöl, Gewürze, einen Backofen und los gehts:

Brush the oven dish with olive oil or butter, spread the pre-cooked sliced potatoes, then put the fish on it. Sprinkle with a little oregano
Die Ofenform mit Olivenöl oder Butter ausstreichen, die vorgekochten geschnittenen Kartoffeln verteilen, dann den Fisch darauf legen, mit ein wenig Oregano bestreuen.

Place the sliced zucchini between the fish pieces, and the sliced tomatoes on top of the fish. Then put the slices of mozarella on top of the tomatoes.
Die geschnittenen Zucchini Scheiben zwischen die Fisch Stücke legen, die geschnittenen Tomaten auf den Fisch. Auf die Tomaten dann die Mozarella Scheiben.

Salt - be careful with the dosage here. I salt the fish very little and then again very little over the vegetables when topped.
Salz - seid hier vorsichtig in der Dosierung. Ich salze den Fisch ganz wenig und dann nochmal ganz wenig über das Gemüse, wenn es belegt ist.

When the mozarella is on, season again with a little oregano and pepper. Finally, place sprigs of rosemary and/or sage on top of the zucchini. (The spice sprigs will be removed later, if they are on top of the cheese it could be difficult).
Sprinkle the whole thing with olives and put in the oven at 160 Graz convection oven for about 30-40 minutes.

Wenn der Mozarella aufgelegt ist, nochmal mit wenig Oregano und Pfeffer würzen. Schließlich Zweige Rosmarin und/oder Salbei auf die Zucchini legen. (Die Gewürzzweige werden später entfernt, wenn sie auf dem Käse liegen könnte das schwierig werden)
Das ganze mit Oliven beträufeln und bei 160 Graz Umluft für ca 30-40 Minuten in den Backofen.

The dish is ready when the mozarella has turned slightly brown. When serving, do not forget to also pour a little of the gravy that has formed under the fish over the potatoes.
Das Gericht ist fertig, wenn der Mozarella sich leicht braun verfärbt hat. Beim Servieren nicht vergessen, auch ein wenig von dem Bratensaft, der sich unter dem Fisch gebildet hat, über die Kartoffeln zu gießen.

wow those pictures makes me hungry, looking delicious. Just had fried fish couple of days ago but it was typical Pakistani way, this is looking awesome with Cheese and honestly, the way you have taken pictures of it is making more tempting.....

Thanks! I'm always looking for good fish recipes, since neither I or my love are any good at cooking fish. A side of salmon is easy, just slather it with spices and bake in the oven, and mackerels are easy too, stuff them with onions and garlic and fry them, but plain white fish? We almost always end up with dry, chewy, tasteless things. Might as well buy a piece of cardboard to eat!
