
Evergreen ocimum which is also known as clove basil, African basil, and in Hawaii as wild basil, is a species of basil in the family of Lamiaceae. It’s native to Africa, Madagascar, Southern Asia & the Bismarck Archipelago & naturalized in Polynesia, Hawaii, Mexico, Panama, West Indies, Brazil & Bolivia.
It’s used in the treatment of various diseases such as diabetes, cancer, inflammation, anaemia, diarrhoea, pains, and fungal and bacterial infections.
