Hi everyone,
All over the news is the goal Westham scored in the dying embers of the match, which was disallowed after a VAR review, making Arsenal finish as 1-nil winners.

So many sides to the incident. Ofcourse, a lot of folks say the foul of the goalkeeper, David Raya, was too soft to be upheld by VAR.
Well for me, I think it was Raya's ball IQ at play there. It's tantamount to drawing a foul.
He knew exactly what he was doing.
In real time, you would hardly see any foul. Truth be told, a keeper of Raya's quality can muscle that hand(including the jersey tug) away and jump higher, if push comes to shove.
But he had a plan ab initio. You see how before the ball arrived, he maintained close body contact just the way an outfield player marks.
So when the ball arrived, Raya knew very well that the opposition player's hand was in an illegal position, so he made a meal of it. It's a foul by the rule book.
I mean, "why expend energy when I can win a foul with this contact", was Raya's thought process.*
It's smart play really, but can backfire in a refereeing world that is quite corrupt.
Now to the match. I had no pressure whatsoever before the match because, I have said earlier in a blog hereβ "THIS SQUAD[Arsenalβs] DOESN'T HAVE A MENTAL BLOCK DUE TO TITLE PRESSURE.
I'm glad Arteta is listening now, he always does anyway, after suffering a bit from his stubbornness and sentiments.
Please send in congratulatory messages to Arsenal now. I have received one already.
THIS IS ARSENAL."
See Arsenal and Mental lack
Again I wrote somewhere praising Arteta for fulfilling my earnest desire to see Zubimendi benched because of overuse. So after Arteta recently used Skelly as a DM benching Zubimendi, I wroteβ "It's been my desire to see Skelly ball in that DM position.
It's just why I'm confident this period, Arteta will have no choice but to be sensible "
But against Westham it seemed as if the praises had gotten into Arteta's head. You know, it was just drama within the Arsenal camp.
Arsenal is not for everyone. π
Mr. Arteta has learnt. We said, "Arteta try new things", "be flexible". He finally said, okay, and made changes. And we applauded.
Maybe the applause was too much, I don't know.
Against Westham, it seems he wanted to teach us that he is the lord of making changes, that he is even more flexible than a rubber band.π
As White came off early in the game, he brought in that his beloved Zubimendi. My brother, if you don't have a spare liver or something, pls don't support Arsenal.βΊοΈ
Well, Arteta finally rectified his error by subbing off Zubimendi in the second half and somehow Arsenal survived.
Like I have said, the deed is done. Please send in your congratulatory messages, Arsenal has won the EPL title for the 2025/26 season.

Cheers
Congratulations!
