My Homesteading Journey: Watercress Cultivation

My journey with homesteading started a while ago, when I decided to live a life closer to nature and be more self-sufficient. I always dreamed of having a small garden, where I could grow the vegetables and fruits I love, and enjoy the fruits of my labor. Over time, I started to delve into the details of agriculture, and one of the important stations was growing watercress.

Watercress is a plant that has a distinctive taste and many health benefits, and I always bought it from the market, until I thought: Why don't I grow it myself? I started looking for ways to grow it, and I discovered that watercress is one of the plants that grows quickly and easily, and this encouraged me even more to try.

I started planting watercress seeds in some soil rich in organic materials, and I put them in a place that would receive the morning sun. What I liked was that watercress doesn't need much care, but it needs constant water to stay fresh and succulent. After a few weeks, I started to see the little sprouts sprouting, and it was a wonderful feeling to see the results of my work in front of me.

Today, I have a harvest of fresh arugula that I add to my salads and use in different dishes. This experience taught me how homesteading is not only a beneficial activity, but also gives you a sense of satisfaction and happiness when you see the fruits of your labor before your eyes. Arugula has become a part of my day, and growing it was an inspiring and encouraging experience for me to continue my journey with homesteading.
