Anyone who is active here on HIVE has probably seen this symbol appear in their comments at some point or another. It's a golden coin with a golden crown at the top saying "BBH". On the coin is written "Tipping Bot! Incoming Token" The face of the coin shows the BITCOIN symbol overlayed with the HIVE symbol.

What is this?

By providing a quality post or comment, your visitor has gifted you a special tip: a BBH token! BBH stands for "Bitcoin Backed Hive". A token whose value is determined between HIVE/BTC and offers a variety of benefits to the holder.

By purchasing and/or MINING enough BBH, it opens up a variety of benefits, including the ability to tip others, weekly drips and other opportunities like participating in the liquidity pool and daily rewards.

A Tipping Token

Tipping tokens are one of my favorite features of the HIVE blockchain. As up-voting comments (enough to count) will drain voting power and not reward much, tipping tokens are an opportunity to gift the content provider with a token. A sign of gratitude.

By holding enough BBH and typing !BBH in the comments section, you grant one FREE BBH token to the comment or post author - not from your stack but generated on demand.

By holding 1000 BBH, you can issue one tip per day, 5000 BBH allows you five tips per day. 20,000 BBH allows for twenty tips per day and 50,000 BBH allows for fifty tips per day!

Level 1 = 1000 BBH holdings = 1 tip per day you can send
Level 2 = 5000 BBH holdings = 5 tip per day you can send
Level 3 = 20000 BBH holdings = 20 tip per day you can send
Level 4 = 50000 BBH holdings = 50 tip per day you can send

A Dividend (Income) Token

BBH is also a dividend or income token. That means you will receive weekly "drips" just for holding it! You don't even have to stake, just keep it in your wallet.

The rewards are distributed every Saturday. The size of the "drip" and the rewards (and quantity) you receive are determined by how much BBH you are holding.

Anyone familiar with reward tokens knows, the better price for the income token, the higher APR the rewards will give you. Because of the price fluctuation in the market, with BITCOIN launching like a rocket, it's opened up a great buying opportunity for BBH.

Note that BBH in the pool do not count towards your drip rewards, so decide between the two.

So far the pool (having providing about 36% of the liquidity) has earned me almost 1000 BBH and 0.73 SWAP.HIVE in fees over the last few months.
