Who Am I When Nobody Is Watching?

This happens to be a simple yet very deep topic, talking of who I am when no one is watching. And I say it's deep because, in all honesty, who am I when no one is with me? Who am I when there's no one to impress? Who am I when I can choose to do and undo? Who am I when there's no one to praise or applaud me? Who am I when there's no one else to also judge me? Who I am and who you are at a time like that says a lot about who you really are.

No one is perfect, so this is not me painting myself as good and perfect; there are times I make mistakes, there are times I talk harshly, there are times I procrastinate, and there are times I question myself and the choices I've made. And nobody may see most of those moments, but even still, it happened. A lot of things I said I would do, ask me about it now, I didn't do.

And most times, it often looks easy. You know, not doing what you say you would do is oftentimes easier then actually doing it, choosing to lie when you're supposed to say the truth can be easy to, and at the same time, doing a thing you say you would can be easy, being honest when you have have lied can easy too. Those moments, I mean, the moments when there's nobody else aside from you, are often the best times to build character and choose what is right.

Because, come to think of it, if everything you've ever gotten to do privately was to be displayed publicly, how would you feel? Proud? Happy? Sad? Angry? Ashamed...?

To be honest with you, I would probably feel embarrassed about some things.

The choices we make and the things we do when it is just us can greatly affect who we're becoming. So, I believe I can be better and can do better; I don't just want to look good in public, I want to as well make good choices while it is just me too.
