Not Every Closed Door Is A Loss.

Rejection happens to be something I feel a lot of us have experienced at one time or the other. And this isn't always about human rejection; there are times we work towards a certain thing and do our best to get it, but at the end of the day, it didn't work out. That hurts, and we feel rejected too; we feel, "Don't I deserve a good thing too."

I've faced rejection a good number of times, and I can tell you in all honesty that it hurts. Yeah, back then when I was rejected, I just shied away from it and refused to feel it, but these days I sit myself down, feel it, think things through, cry if possible, and then move on again. And there's something that we need to know too, it is that we should know what to chase and what not to, some things, some people clearly do not want us, but we keep chasing it, and at the end of the day we get disappointed and feel rejected whereas in the real sense we are the ones who should have just left it and focus on something or someone else.

Like I said earlier, I've had to experience rejections, and sometimes I just feel like I've lost a good thing; it is later I often see that I actually didn't lose anything. There are some rejections I'm even thankful for today, because if they hadn't happened then, I would be in a mess right now.

But I remember a time when I was so focused on a thing; I had put in my energy and everything into it. I had planned, did all I could, and in all honesty I was expecting things to go smoothly; there's absolutely no reason why they shouldn't go smoothly, but at the end of the day, things took another turn, and I felt disappointed. But then I learned great lessons I wouldn't have learned if it had worked out.

Rejection hurts, yeah, and it doesn't mean we're not good enough; it just might mean that the thing is not good for us, will not favor us, or is best for us. And that is why we would only understand later when things began to unfold and we were then grateful for being rejected. So, rejections can be good too; don't wallow in them, and don't let that closed door make you feel there are no other doors that would open when we knock on them.
