In the olden days, when people wanted to send messages to all the people in their community, they made use of a town crier with a gong. If people want to communicate with others in neighbouring villages, they spend days on a journey to those places just to deliver the messages.
Nowadays, it is super easy to communicate with others in other countries, this is possible only because of the cellphone, just a few clicks within a minute, and you are already speaking with someone miles away from you.
Our voice has reached places that our legs will never go, this is the beauty of tech!.
At first, it was just a voice call, now the world is more advanced with the invention of the internet... We get to communicate and see the faces of people we might never get to see in our lifetime, and we connect and bond with others easily.
Some people condemn cell phones, they call it a cell that imprisons people because most people are always on their phone and people hardly socialise anymore, unlike the time when cellphones didn't exist.

We just need to be honest with ourselves because the cell phone has done more good to humans than bad... The advantages of it outweigh the cons.
The cell phone is like a new world and everything [apps] we need are created on it, we have internet access which enable us to connect with people in and outside our country, which further makes it possible for most of us to secure online gigs and remote jobs which makes our work life easier and more comfortable.
It helps to cure depression, we get to watch interesting stuff online and chat with lively people, those who find it difficult to make friends offline have a lot of friends online, which helps to suppress the depression and unwanted feelings building up in them... Many people also build their relationships online...
All these are only possible because of the existence of the cellphone.

I think it's because of cellphones that we have the world in our pocket now. For me, it's the knowledge aspect that really blows my mind. I can learn a lot of things from different sources and apply it in real life without ever having to visit the place that the knowledge was founded. Now, we can also preserve our past history and not half it lost with the sands of time, as it was previously. The good definitely does outweigh the bad, in many aspects.

You made me remember the first time my late grandmother spoke with her daughter in the US via WhatsApp video and she didn't stop getting surprised at such innovation. Like it looked like a dream to her seeing her daughter from where she sat down. It was more surprising when she saw her moving around her home and talking. Mama was always eager to speak via video from that day 😀 technology with innovations. We are lucky.

That is the disadvantage, but then we can't have it all... The addiction kept us away from others around us cos we are always on our mobile phone, but somehow it also saves us from fake friends around us, and aside from that, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.🙂
