Hope of Knowledge in Absence of A Library

Library has always been a place of knowledge where knowledge is gotten and just like someone mentioned from the program I attended on Sunday, he said that knowledge is more important than power cos you can acquire wealth with knowledge but you can easily squander wealth when you lack knowledge.

Based on personal experience, I must say that library is the less used place of all places in the society and I might just be able to predict that even if the whole libraries in the world are packed off and cease to exist, less people will be affected or feel pained about it.

Coupled with the fact that people now have access to ebooks and could get books or read from the comfort of their homes without stepping out into a physical library or start searching for segments of a particular book, libraries are already packed off and closed down in people's minds while technology has replaced it with internet sources of knowledge.

However, let's say or imagine that there was just one library left with a last librarian, how will things become?
To me, I would say if the world still remains an advanced world of technology then the librarian would have less work to do cos people would fully embrace ebooks else I wonder how people who are still more interested in getting physical books would want to travel to the location of this remaining library to get the book they want. I bet they wouldn't want to go through that stress but to just adapt to the new system so with this, very few people would have to visit the library.

My phone is my closest pal and where I do most of the things I do but I will still prefer reading anything whatsoever through my computer just to avoid distraction of getting involved in another thing and be it computer or phone, I am still able to access these knowledge without stepping out an inch.
This is how far tech and modern transformation has made things easy for us and affected us positively especially for book lovers who finds it hard to step out of their doors.
