My mum once told me a little story about my childhood. She said I was very stubborn and because of my stubborness I do get beaten by her. She said most especially when I'm being asked questions, I will know the answer but refuse to say something. So she concluded it was due to stubborness. She said even after beating me I will still not say anything.
But she had no idea I was actually scared. Scared of being punished incase my answer is incorrect. So recently we were just having a mother to daughters gist and flashed back memories. That was how she found out I was actually battling with anxiety at that age. In fact i told her a lot of things I wanted to share with her so badly then.
Let's just say the world is advanced now. While some parents are trying to listen to their children the society call it bad training. why? because it didn't involve beating especially when the child is disrespectful.
Being disrespectful is different from when a child have so many things to talk about and needed someone to talk to so badly.
I don't even know if I'm on track cause I haven't read the topic.😂😂😂 I will come back to correct any errors.
It's really important to listen to children without judgment, the moment you judge kids, they get scared of opening up...

Sorry about that, I believe that your mum didn't know about it and that was why she beat now. Now that you know better, same mistake won't happen when you have your kids

I once have a baby boy living with us before and he's exactly like that. I remember beating him so well one day when I knew he actually knew the answer and refused to say anything even after trials and beating. I think I get the cause now

I just read the part that you're stubborn and it's okay for me. I'll leave the rest for others.😌
