A Haven Of Love And Support

I don't know about others, but for me, my family is like my safe haven; it's a place where I can be myself without any fear of judgment or being rejected. In family I have found and experienced unconditional love and support. This doesn't mean we are perfect and don't have challenges; like other families, we have days we disagree to agree, but despite that we don't allow our indifference to come between us. We encourage and help each other when the need arises.

Growing up, I used to think every family loved and supported each other just like we do in my family until I came across families that didn't care about each other, parents and children always fighting, siblings not seeing each other eye to eye, and it made me value what I have. I know of a girl that hates her mom so much. It's so bad that if her mom should use her cup to drink water and she finds out, she would throw away the cup. It makes me wonder what the mom did to her that makes her hate her mom so much.

My family is my sanctuary of love, peace, joy, and laughter. We share a unique and unbreakable bond that transcends time.

I remember one time a relative came to visit us and saw how we were free with each other, including my mom. That was strange to her because she didn't know a mother could have such a kind of relationship with her kids. I have also gotten compliments from different people on how they admire my relationship with my siblings.

Family is not just about different individuals that are connected by blood; family should be about our selfless devotion to each other. In family, we should find loyal companions in each other.

My family is my greatest source of strength. Last year I had two emergency surgeries, and while in that state I was down casted and kept asking God why He had let such happen to me despite how much I had prayed, but all through this they never got tired of me despite how my mood kept changing. They provided me with all the strength I needed when mine was failing me. They made me feel that I was not alone, and they could also feel my pains.

We have faced different challenges together, overcome different hurdles, and come out victoriously together. I will continue to bless God every day for the gift of my family members.

In family I have found true love. Love that's not based on my achievements or the amount of money in my account but a love so pure that it is based on the fact of my existence.

My family is my world, and they are treasures I would forever cherish. I won't trade them for anything in this world.
