The Homecoming I Planned vs The One I Got.

So, I've been off home for some months, and honestly, I've missed everyone. I've missed my parent, sibling, friends, and all. Guess what? I've even planned what my first weekend at home would be like.

The plan was simple; I was to rush and finish up on Monday and travel down. Well, that worked. I arrived home late on Monday night. Before then, I had made plans with a few friends even though I didn't tell them I would be returning on Monday, but then I told them I would be around before the weekend.

I never knew life had other plans for me. That Monday night I began to feel somehow, and I thought it was due to the stress of the travel and all. And ever since Tuesday morning, I've been on treatment. It wasn't easy; it wasn't my plan. My body intentionally refuses to cooperate with the plans I have this weekend.

Just like a month ago, I had spent several thousand naira on illness where I was, and having to start spending on treatment here again feels somehow. Even though I've always been the type to not always show it when something is wrong with me, it doesn't mean I won't take care of myself and take necessary steps. That's exactly why I'm going all out again to run tests and get treatment again, even though I did about a month or so ago.

Well, I'm glad I'm home. I can really rest, enjoy, eat, sleep, and all, but just that the weekend won't be like what I had planned. It was meant to be spent outside with friends, seeing some familiar faces and all. But then, here I am taking my medications and hoping to get better soon.

Well, I feel the weekend just wants me to stay home and rest, attend to myself and my health. There will definitely be another weekend to do all of that... For now, the main concern is to feel and get better.
