During my time in school there were silly things I did and got away with that I know if anyone should have ever found out, it will be a disaster for me. One of them was the time my phone charger was stolen. For those who know how it is when there is no light in a hostel, you will see that a lot of people charge their devices in a particular charging center, sometimes it is free, and other times it is paid. The free charging spaces are usually crowded, but the paid ones are not so crowded but when you find out that you don’t have money for a paid charging space, you have no choice but to make do with what you have.

That day I wasn’t having money and in order to gain a space I told my friend to help me plug in my charger so that by the time I brought my phone, I would already have space. The fact is one of the issues with these free charging spots is that there is hardly any space to charge so that was how I normally get space. But then when I got there, I saw that the space my friend kept for me was still available, but the charger I had was nowhere to be found. This was one of the most devastating things for me because that charger was an original one and I knew it would be hard to get a new one. And then again, I was a student who was struggling to make hands meet, and thus I decided I couldn’t go without a charger.
Fortunately or unfortunately for me, there was a charger that looked exactly like mine, and since I couldn’t find mine, I stole that one, unplugged the phone connected to it when no one was looking and went elsewhere to charge. I knew what I did was bad, and I transferred the aggression and pain I was feeling to someone else, but then I did it anyway. The fact that no one knew to date, not even my closest pal and even when the guy was causing and all, I still found a way to keep silent and let everything pass like nothing happened telling myself that the thief stole the guy's charger not me.
