It's another amazing week, and you know what that means - it's the 56th edition of the weekly prompt to spark your creativity and get those ideas flowing in. Hive Student Connect is a community where students on Hive share their blogs. It is a vibrant space for Hive students to engage, learn, connect, and collaborate, fostering growth and development.

Most students just want to graduate and go and start life, but then we've seen that even your certificate now is not enough to get you a job.
So, beyond the classroom, what do you think about skills? Maybe skills like tailoring, tiling, hairdressing, photography, graphic design, catering, and many more. Something a student can always bank on during his/her time in school and also fall back on after graduation or while looking for a job.
Some are of the opinion that a child is supposed to learn and have a skill, while some feel the child should focus totally on his/her academics. Like, they feel the academic work is enough on its own, and learning something else will reduce the child's focus on education.
But then, what is your own thought about it? Should every student learn a practical skill? Should it be made compulsory? Should students themselves be allowed to decide? Did you learn a skill? Was it helpful? Did it affect your academics? How helpful was/is it?
