HSCP—WK42 NEW PROMPT: USE HIVE WITHOUT REWARDS?
We welcome y'all to Hivestudents prompt, Week 42.
It's another amazing week, and you know what that means - it's the 42nd edition of the weekly prompt to spark your creativity and get those ideas flowing in. Hive Student Connect is a community where students on Hive share their blogs. It is a vibrant space for Hive students to engage, learn, connect, and collaborate, fostering growth and development.

This week's topic happens to be a little somehow, right? Yea. We just want to hear from you. A lot of us aren't just here to write, have fun, connect, engage, and such; we are here for the rewards it offers too.
While getting onboard, we all heard about the rewards, something like Hive and HBD, and that alone was enough to get us on here; that alone was enough to make struggling students who are broke but talented take it seriously.
Now, let's say after some time the rewards stop totally. Not that it reduced; this is not about reduction, this is about... No more rewards. And that's where the question comes in: if Hive stops the rewards, let's say there are still comments, engagements, and all, but no upvotes or anything that translates to value, will you still stay?
I can't speak for everyone, but I'm sure it's a no-no for some people. Which, in all honesty, isn't bad either; life is hard, the country is not encouraging, and we all are out for a means to survive, so it's understandable if people leave since it offers no more rewards.
The same way we will have those who will stay, there are some of us who have gotten so deep in this, and we've now developed a habit for writing. We've loved this space so much with the fact that we can be ourselves, we can speak freely, and we can share our own thoughts and opinions about things, so leaving because of no reward isn't an option for us.
And as said earlier, it is understandable. The rewards are what keep some people here; remove them and you will see how people will reduce and engagement will drop.
So, would you still use Hive without rewards? If the system changes tomorrow, will you still find yourself here doing the same thing, but not for the same reason anymore?
