I love Christmas, heck I love everything that screams love, warmth, and unity. For me, Christmas isn’t only about the magnificent decorations, carols, and sumptuous delicacies; it’s about the holiday, the freedom to spend it however you like, and with whomever you wish to spend it. This includes your family, friends, acquaintances, colleagues, etc.

Christmas is the best holiday to me, yet I can’t wrap my head around the hike in prices of goods and services.
Why do people refer to Christmas as a peak period and decide to make life difficult for consumers? Why increase the price of commodities and transportation all in the name of calling this beautiful holiday “Peak period?”

People complain that the government isn't doing enough for its citizens, but they are the problem too. They advocate for change yet they commit so many wicked atrocities against their fellow humans.
As a vendor, why charge your customer triple of what you usually charge? Is it because you know this customer has no other option but to patronize you?

Don’t get me started on transportation, these transportation companies charge ridiculous prices. The prices of Bolt, Uber, and inDrive are skyrocketing every single day. These are supposed to be regular cab services for everyone, but they are slowly making their services too expensive for the common man to afford.

When the amount of everyday goods and services becomes ridiculously expensive it strips away all the fun that comes with the holiday. It doesn’t just stop at killing the Christmas spirit; it’s slowly making people dread this time of the year as it might appear as though they are under some sort of pressure during this period and that sucks.
This is contrary to what Christmas stands for.
Can’t we enjoy the spirit of Christmas without breaking the bank? Can’t we celebrate this beautiful season without calculating every dime? Can’t we?
We work tirelessly from January to December and frankly speaking, we all need a break and that’s what Christmas holidays are for but sadly it’s not the case for some people anymore.

Can’t vendors and service providers be reasonable and affordable? Is it too much to ask?
I’m not saying the prices of goods and services should be reduced to little or nothing, I’m only saying we shouldn’t be too greedy because we know people will patronize us regardless of the amount or season.
It’s almost Christmas and I pray everyone gets to enjoy this wonderful season without going broke.

I don’t know how or why it came to this. Goods and transportation are not even supposed to cost more during a season meant for love and giving.
Many people can’t even travel to see their loved ones because of this.
And the fact that it's Christians that does this the more💔
Sadly, we just can’t do anything about all of this. To these people, it’s profit, profit, and profit.
Unfortunately, some people take advantage of anything, including holidays, to enrich themselves... I hope these days bring you smiles!
It's so sad, people can be very unreasonable sometimes.
Merry Christmas friend😃
