A long time ago, A wise man once said "Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will serve before kings; he will not serve before mere men." This is true in the life story of twin brothers whose parent were farmers. The parent of this twin brothers was caught by death leaving the twins orphans at a tender age. As they continue to grow up, they both work on the farm.
One day, the twins decided to visit a seer in the next village to determine their destines, so they went. On reaching there, the seer welcomed and received them. Then, he proceeds in telling their various destines. To the older, he said, you will become a wealthy man. He further states no one in your land will be richer than you, the way the seer expressed this even shows that; richness was an understatement for the older one. There will be wealthy in his life. However, reverse is the case for the younger one. The seer said, he will become poor; poor to the extent that he will barely feed his family.
After hearing this, the elder one was happy while the younger became sad. On getting home, the younger one takes this to heart seriously and decided to work harder. He increases the size of his farm, and farm on many plots of land. On the other hand, The elder one having heard that he would be rich begin to borrow from people and drink in debts hoping to pay back when he becomes wealthy. He rarely go to the farm.
At a point, the younger one became well doing. He was able to marry, takes care of his family, and sponsors his children education to the university level. He was respected by all in the community.
On the other hand, the elder one became an alcoholic, a chronic debtor, and hardly sponsors his children to finish primary school.
The moral from this story is the virtue of hardwork, hardwork pays. Wealthy does not come from a thin air. Building an empire requires patience, time, dedication, and hardwork. Therefore, No matter the promises we received, and the support from others. We need to work hard as individuals to build our empires in the social, economical, business, and political space. An adage says " Rome was not built in one day."
In summary, it takes hardwork to achieve great things in life. This also calls for the virtue of patience, dedication, and trust in the process. Finally, let us be diligent in our duties the more in all endeavours of our lives. Be it social, political, economical etc. Remember the story of the twin brothers earlier stated. Reverse was the case of their destines said by the seer because of hardwork. Hardwork makes the difference. With hardwork success is sure, Hardwork pays!*
