It's a privilege to be with Parents on this special day
Who brought me to this universe on this day.....
Time runs so fast, another year has passed and I am privileged to have them with me so long, who brought me to this universe. And what could have been a better way to celebrate this day other than taking blessings from someone who brought me to this universe. The very first thing I did today was to touch her feet and seek blessings from my living God - tears came in both of our eyes. It has been a very long struggle for Mom and me and I have seen her struggle since the age of ten, extending my helping hand. In that process she has enabled me to be able to do everything till date - a legacy that I am trying to teach my kids.
She is my living inspiration to be dutifulness - at the age of seventy five, she still gets up early in the morning, and does not take rest till going to bed. It's because of her, they are able to manage to live alone in my native place, and I divide myself between between both the places. My friends are great assets for me, as they often take care of any emergency requirement, as they don't know to take advantage of all the digital offerings, available in small scale (compared to the city).
As we get older, we understand more about why they did what they did - life does not always justify every decision - some are taken in the best interest of a larger good at one point of time, which turns out differently with time. But at this age, all they need is our presence and wealth becomes totally irrelevant beyond livability. Recently my son was asking me what career I want him to choose and my answer was in line with what I feel for my parents - whatever you do, we will always be happier to see you around. I don't want to restrict your decision, but this is something that everyone will feel at a particular age - how do we make our life more meaningful, while fulfilling our duty.
Whenever I am in my native, I can't resist playing football but by the time I came back, the delicious turmeric cake was ready, prepared by Mom. Same flavor, same taste with lots of love reminding me everything she has done for us - you can never compensate a mother's affection, love and duty. We are what today because of her - Mother's love is the purest love for everyone, and we should never forget that.
The evening went well with visit to our nearest temple - the importance of divine touch is felt more as we get older.
In preparation of welcoming "Bol Bam" devotees carrying holy water from different places to offer it at the Shiva temple, they are cooking food for thousand people.

There is nothing more wonderful than selfless parental love on this earth.
Seeing them grow older together by living a wholesome life is indeed truly guiding, motivating and inspirational, by going against the odds of life and still sticking together in thick and thin is absolutely amazing and marvelous experience for life.

Yes. I feel the same way about my mom. (and dad, but he is remarried now and still quite active.. so he doesn't 'need' me like how my mom does) she is like ur parents.. doesn't understand electronics and stuff. My job is just to keep her happy and that means playing cards and helping her with the tv. 😉☺️😁🤙🌈

Some times we might have some friction with our parents as we grow up. But as we get aged and once we become parents, we realize everything and become more mature and all friction goes away. 🙂
Exactly, unless we reach that age, we cannot understand those sentiments. Everyone will go through this, the sooner one realizes, the better it is to attain inner peace.

I do miss my parents. My mom passed when I'm 22, followed by my father when I was 26.
