Finally she recovered after an extended stay in the hospital and we came back to home on Wednesday late night, as the Insurance took quite a bit of time. On the day of discharge, the hospital gave her this plant as a gift in the morning and I must say this gesture was quite well accepted by her - a plant always brings hope, positivity and an inspiration to live.

As per the doctor, the type of Gallstone disease that she developed is rare and the surgery was not only technically demanding but needed extra cautious meticulous decisive approach on the operation table, with increased operating time and prolonged general anesthesia that created more risk, given her age. Thankfully she recovered quite fast and these are the moments when we realize why we should be grateful to the divine, to come out of these critical times to be alive, no matter whatever happens - for this greatest gift of human life. Since there was some blood loss during the surgery, she had to be given one unit of blood and we all provided all kind of mental support to help her heal faster.

One of her school friend even visited the hospital and many of her school friends called me daily to follow up with her health status - these are the times when we need friends as the mental support given by friends cannot be matched by anyone else. She was not given any food for three days and once she became stable, they started liquid diet and look at her face - small joys of life matters a lot, only if we care to pay attention.

Once the diet started, I inspired her to go on small walks in the Hospital Corridor and stood by her in all these times. Unlike Dad, she is mentally very strong and is a living inspiration for me and that helps a lot in these situations. All she needs a little support and I am thankful to God to be able to serve those who brought us into this world.

Though we were satisfied with the doctor consultancy, operating procedures and nursing facilities, the housekeeping and food management did not meet our expectation, I will write a separate post as part of my review of the hospital so that it can help other patients.

Once she heard about the discharge, she was super excited to get ready and come home.

A nurse with whom she developed deep bonding because of the personalized care.

And Goodbye to the place which reminds us how precious this human life is - enjoy small joys in life and live with gratitude.

So glad everything went well and she is going home. How lovely for the hospital to gift a plant - even if the food wasn't great, which happens often in hospital!
Good to know that now she is recovered and back to home … the plant gifting is really a good idea and it actually brings positivity 😀
Thank goodness it was a successful journey for her, you are really trying for your parents not everyone can do that giving your time and everything, may you also see your own around to take care of you at your own time because all of this is turn after turn
The important thing is having his mother home, my friend. Excellent news! Now to complete her recovery.
Glad that she is much better and can come home.
So happy to hear about the recovery. Moments like these really remind us to be thankful for life and the people around us.
Congratulations
I'm happy she is back on her feet and also back home
Your family and the hospital really did a good job taking good care of her
I'm glad it's all good and the doctors did a good job
Food is always bad in the hospitals here too, it's normal
Your mom needs lots of support for a speedy recovery, and it's great that she's receiving top-notch care and the necessary attention. Plus, the warmth of home will make her feel much better.
The happiest day is when the mother returns home after recovering from the hospital, and the son is the happiest. And we all know that the status of a mother in this world is that for all of us, she is the most special woman in the world.
Me contenta que la Señora vaya mejorando , saludos .
There is actually always no place like home. I have seen it and tested it several times
May your mom recover very well the soonest!
