I have written about hotpot for a long time, and if you are a foodie, then you must know about the traditional hotpot of Chinese cuisine, which is one of my favourite menus, especially in winter. I have enjoyed dozens of different hotpots in my life in China for the last 6 years, it includes the Chongqing style heavily spicy hotpot, tasty and delicious combo of Haidilou restaurant hotpots, plain water and herb-based hotpot, curry-flavored hotpot, Beijing style less spicy and salty hotpots, and many more in many restaurants.
Also, with different ingredients, I have enjoyed some special ones like the backbones of ram, or mutton soup based hotpot which is very rich in flavor, chicken based, prawn based hotpots, and finally the free styles where different kind of broth are used for hotpot as generally hotpot has the soup and all the other vegetables, sliced meat, sliced fish, and other items are enjoyed as live cooking and eating together. Even, I have enjoyed the home-made hotpot where we prepared the ingredients(vegetables) and bought some directly from supermarkets (spicy soup found as frozen one, fish, meat) and used our own cooking pan for enjoying ourselves in the institute.

The restaurant where I have enjoyed the prawn hotpot is a famous food chain in Beijing, I don't know about the whole of China as I have seen many branches in the area I live. In this restaurant their iconic and traditional hotpot is the prawn with sweetened soup not so spicy, but you can enhance the spicy level that is not so suitable for prawn in my opinion. There will be some other ingredients like potatoes and some vegetable slices, especially some needle mushrooms are included in the menu. The soup was delicious and everything poured into it was delicious with the tasty soup.
Furthermore, you can add many kinds of vegetables normally according to your choice, we have included some tofu and vegetables in the soup after we finished eating the prawn first, which is the usual way to eat hotpot; finish protein first, and finally the vegetables. It was a 2 people menue but it was much more that can be sufficient for three people easily. And the package price was 105 RMB with a discount price from the app, which is a trick to save some money as the real price was 196 in the shop. So, if you come to China, try such app before going to a restaurant for some heavy discount. If you need some direction you can let me know in the comment section.

I hope you enjoy my experience in the prawn-based hotpot from the Gui Jiw Wang Po food chain in Beijing city with such a delicious menu. The food was more delicious than it looked and the amount was sufficient for me. If you have any queries, let me know in the comments, and I will try my best to answer them as much as I can.
