Marky plays Elden Ring - Part 8
Here we go with Part 8 of Marky Plays Elden Ring.
I made some improvements to the video size, so it fills the screen using a combination of cropping and custom resolution, but I need to work with a higher base resolution as it crops to below 720p. Will work on that next part, ultra wide with game that doesn't support ultra wide is a real pain for streaming, once I get it right though I should be good to go.
In this episode I make my way into Stormveil and make it a ways in, in another direction I haven't done before.

What is the point of the first group (seekers)? Did you only join to see other players' signs? XD That second group sounds better, I hope you start invading soon to see how that aspect of the game is.

I kept forgetting the name, the official name is Legacy Dungeons.
There are two things you can do for multiplayer. You can set a password which limits your coop to anyone who uses the same password. I set this for my son so we can play together and not accidentally summon others.
Elden Ring has a unique new option called groups, this allows you to set a group password which increases the chances of summoning people in this group (if you don't have a password set) as well as shows more death and note signs from the group. It also gives you a small rune buff when someoen kills a major boss.
SEEKERS is Vaati Vidya's group, the legendary lore master of all Dark Souls games. His videos are the defacto standard for learning lore of Dark Souls.
chasebro is a streamer my son and I have been watching lately who is very good in PVP and fun to watch.
I tried to do a plunging attack, basically an attack from above. In Dark Souls this is a very powerful attack, but I couldn't reach him which make me aggro all of them and made the fight difficult since I had a hard time locking on to one of them. Sometimes it is difficult to lock on an enemy and you spin aimlessly.

They are tough at this level, especially in tight spaces or when you get stuck on the environment.

Nice improvement, congratulations. The important thing for me remains to see the gameplay to discover new things. I have recently visited the castle, there are many streets, thanks to your video I discovered the bridge, I did not know it, maybe I will come back to visit it to discover new things. Thanks for sharing.
I recommend exploring. Even if you beat the game you likely will have many areas you haven’t seen. The world is huge.
There is a lot more to this game than previous souls games. Exploration is critical.
