En esta oportunidad, aprovechando la bella iniciativa de nuestra comunidad de revivir canciones que marcaron época entre los años 1930 y 1940, quise compartir un tesoro musical acompañado por el sonido del querido cuatro venezolano: el vals “Dama Antañona”. Compuesta por el maestro Francisco de Paula Aguirre, destacado compositor caraqueño, en colaboración con el gran Leoncio Martínez, esta joya musical nos transporta a una Caracas de antaño, elegante y nostálgica. Se estima que su creación data de la década de 1930, quizás incluso un poco antes, y se distingue por la exquisita riqueza de sus acordes y la sutileza de su letra, que retrata con delicadeza a la mujer de esa época: distinguida, serena y llena de gracia. On this occasion, taking advantage of our community's beautiful initiative to revive songs that marked an era between 1930 and 1940, I wanted to share a musical treasure accompanied by the sound of the beloved Venezuelan cuatro: the waltz "Dama Antañona". Composed by maestro Francisco de Paula Aguirre, a prominent composer from Caracas, in collaboration with the great Leoncio Martínez, this musical gem transports us to a Caracas of yesteryear, elegant and nostalgic.
