Twiggy curled on the sill,
tail like a question mark.
She watched the ceiling shiver,
watched the hallway turn to spark.

A spoon slid clean off the table,
slow as a polite little ghost.
And I said, "Well, that's a hello there,"
to the shape that liked the most.
