Greetings everyone, how has the week been for all of you? Hope the starter guide that I shared last week did gave some help to new players a small head start and avoiding any landmines that I stepped on previously. Today, I will come back to sharing music spotlight.

Music Spotlight

Been reminiscing some anime recently and the series is Gundam Seed and Gundam Seed Destiny. These 2 series saw many amazing tracks that I still listen to up till today. The opening songs set our hearts racing for battles when it plays through our speakers, the ending songs bring sentimental closure to the episode while the insert brings the important cut scenes to the next level.

With Gundam being an anime revolving around Mobile Suit fights between various armies, war, conflict, and the strength of the human spirit, choice of song to suit the anime is important. We can see rock and electronic music being deployed throughout almost all of its opening and insert themes.

The Gundam Seed and Seed Destiny propelled T.M.Revolution and anchored the singer in his JPOP career and involvement in anime music scenes. Another singer that rose the fame through Gundam Seed anime was Nami Tamaki whom also brought high energy tunes to make up the 3rd and 4th opening themes.

From this, we can see that, the success of a Japanese anime can propel the career of singers of the theme songs to greater heights, bring them success in furthering the career and solidifying their places in the genre they are in.

However, there is one particular opening theme that took me by surprise. Initially I thought it was done by true Japanese band till I realise that one of the vocalist is actually a non-Japanese singer but a Taiwanese actress Vivian Hsu. In that particular song, her singing was really great and I couldn't tell that it was sung by a non-Japanese, kudos to her for the great performance in that song.

So in today's music spotlight, I will share 3 songs, one from T.M.Revolution, one from Nami Tamaki and one from Vivian and Kazuma.

After thoughts
