Greetings everyone, how has the week been for all of you? I had an eventful week with multiple work events to attend to. Today's post will be Music Spotlight, my current game progress, results of the last giveaway and the new giveaway this week.

Music Spotlight

Today's Music Spotlight, I will be featuring on a virtual band, Gorillaz.

I've always been very intrigued by this band. Initially I thought they are similar to the cartoon singer Ocean Ou De Yang from Taiwan, whereby the singer himself is planted behind a cartoon persona. However, after understanding more, Gorillaz is a full virtual band.

The Music
The music produced for Gorillaz has a unique blend of various musical genres, including alternative rock, hip-hop, electronica, and pop.

Feeling nostalgic, had been listening to "Feel Good Inc" recently. Using "Feel Good Inc" as an example, it is a genre-blending track that combines elements of alternative rock, hip-hop, and electronic music. It features a prominent bassline, a catchy guitar riff, and a strong hip-hop beat. This unique blend makes the music catch and infectious. To add even more depth to the song, the collaborated Hip Hop trio, De La Soul, provided the rapping vocals on the track with their energetic and playful verses, bringing a strong contrast to the melodic portions sung by 2-D.

Another song that I've always listen to is "19-2000" which features vocals from Noodle. The track is a upbeat and lighthearted song that combines elements of alternative rock, electronic, and pop music. It has a catchy melody, simple yet infectious electronic beats, and a playful and carefree vibe. For the singing portion, 2-D takes care of the introspective portion while Noodle take care of the chorus with the "Get The Cool, Get The Cool Shoeshine" bring the carefree vibe to the next level.

What makes it fun to listen and watch music videos of Gorillaz is that there is virtual storytelling through their music video. The storyline connects their albums and characters which brings the band's lore deeper. Feel Good Inc demonstrates the struggle of maintaining a balanced and happy life in the face of external pressures through the music video. So let me share this 2 amazing songs that I like below:
