5 Minute Freewrite - I've Grown A Wing

As a young girl, Emily always dreamed of flying. She would spend hours watching birds soar through the sky, wishing she could join them. But as she grew older, she realized that flying was just a fantasy and she would never be able to do it.

One day, Emily was out for a walk in the park when she suddenly stumbled upon a glowing green stone. She picked it up and felt a surge of energy coursing through her body. She didn't think much of it and continued on her walk.

But the next morning, something strange happened. Emily woke up to find a pair of wings sprouting from her back. She couldn't believe her eyes! She ran to the mirror and saw that she now had beautiful, white wings.

At first, Emily was scared and didn't know what to do. But as she experimented with her new wings, she realized that she could actually fly! She soared through the sky, feeling the wind in her hair and the freedom in her heart.

As she flew higher and higher, Emily couldn't help but think that this must be a dream. But it wasn't. She had grown a wing and her dream of flying had finally come true.

From that day on, Emily spent every moment she could flying. She explored new places, met new friends in the sky, and felt truly alive. She had never been happier.

But as much as Emily loved her new wings, she knew that they were only temporary. Eventually, they would disappear and she would be back to living a normal life. But for now, she was going to make the most of her time as a winged girl.

Emily's newfound ability to fly not only brought her joy, but it also taught her an important lesson. Sometimes, dreams do come true, even if they seem impossible. And in those moments, we must cherish every second and never take anything for granted.
