Reunions | A Visit To The Cinema In Groups

Reunions is one thing I always try my possible best to avoids based on one reason or the other and mainly because I do find it hard to associate with people even back then in schools it was me, my books and just two friends which are guys. School life is the best and people do give it their best shot of enjoyment but on my part I was somehow a weirdo and always the shy type so I keep my distance from the opposite sex and I don't allow them to sit with me in class. We weren't that much in class, if I can remember, we were like 26 in number which are mostly average student and somehow lazy, they dont want to receive lectures but love playing. Anytime our teachers decide not to show up, they will be so happy. One moment I wont forget was during math class in SS3, this very day, the whole class annoyed our math teacher and he decided to punished the whole class by asking them to solve a math question.

The funniest part was, he knew I could solve it and ask me to sit down first, then start calling others to the board, I just couldn't believe my eyes, none was able to solve it, like the whole class, their next saviour which was my friend didn't show up in school that very day. The teacher was happy because he now have a good reason to beat the whole class instead of using his anger as an excuse to, well I solved it though but the whole class received some beating and I couldn't laugh. School was fun in our own little way and we had a group back then to communicate and check on ourselves. After parting ways in 2014, we decided to have a reunion, Someone actually suggest it and we decided to make it work, We pick some organisers, who had a secret meeting and made some certain decision, how that day will be, the locations and what we will be doing that day.

First of all we were told to contribute some amount of money which was 4000 Naira, 15 people contributed out of 26, and they picked a date and venue and they told us there is a surprised package on that day so we were anticipating and curious to know what it was. I even saw that part as a little trick to drive in more people and it worked, the 15 of us were present, when I reach the venue I saw a bus at the location but didn't really grab what they want to use it for. We all sat down, exchange greetings because it was really glad seeing them again. Most of them have changed a lot, some have really eaten well, we discussed a lot and took some snacks.

They decided to unveil the surprise and told all we all are going to the cinema to watch one amazing movie, we were amazed because we didnt expect it and the idea of sitting together again in the cinema look really nice. We all hopped into the bus and zoom we reach the cinema location and we were to watch this nollywood movie Omo Ghetto The Saga which was really interesting, I watch the first part which was Omo Ghetto back in the days and I knew how fun and interesting it was, and this time we are going to watch the saga part, we were given popcorn as usual, I gave out mine because I dont take it and purchase a drink and cake instead, at least I need to enjoy myself to the fullest.

The movie didnt disappoint because we all enjoyed it and even laugh out loud, It really worth it and I cant forget that very day. We all left after the movie and most of us find our way home after saying goodbye to each other.
