The Axemaster ⚔ Splinterlands

Rare are the opportunities when we have the privilege of seeing a skilled juggler spinning axes in a circus. Personally, I've never had that opportunity, but while playing a game of Splinterlands using the Axemaster card, I had a very similar sensation, except that instead of juggling the axes, he was constantly hurling them at his opponents.

Source.

The game in question was the last Brawl, and despite the Aimless rule being extremely unfavorable for the Axemaster (as it prevents damage from being focused), I decided to use it anyway, supported by cards that enhanced its speed and reduced the opponent's protection. In the first position, I chose Noa the Just because of its high evasion ability and its ability to reduce armor with the Rust ability.

My idea was to eliminate the opponents as quickly as possible (despite the randomness) using the two attacks of the Axemaster. However, this would require my frontline cards to survive long enough, so I combined abilities that amplified Noa's evasion potential, resulting in this battlefield:

Battle.

The opponent devised an interesting strategy by choosing cards with the Triage ability to continuously restore the life of their backline cards and prevent them from being eliminated. This choice works perfectly with the randomness of damage caused by the Aimless rule, as it significantly reduces the chances of a card being eliminated (since it would be constantly regaining life).

The biggest problem is that this doesn't apply to the card in the first position, which is why I chose the Void Dragon because it has a lot of life and can tank magical attacks and occasionally cause misses in my attacks. With both strategies laid out, let's follow them in the game!

It took a while, but in the fourth round, the Axemaster finally managed to eliminate the Void Dragon. He was my main concern due to his 100% chance to hit his attacks against Noa the Just, but now that the dragon had been eliminated, all I had to do was wait a few more rounds and continue watching the Axemaster throw one axe after another.

In total, there were 15 attacks over 8 rounds when he finally took down the last remaining opponent, securing the victory for my team! The offensive capability of the Axemaster is overwhelming, and I always kept this card rented because it's a great option to have in your collection.

The card becomes much better at level 4 due to the Close Range ability, but the price increases substantially. If you don't want to invest that much, level 3 is sufficient as it increases the attack by +1, potentially allowing him to deal 6 damage per round!
