I Am #AliveAndThriving Today! || #IAmAliveChallenge || Daily Off-Grid Jungle Journal Entry: Day #523 - The Necessity of Creating Parallel Counter Systems - GaiaYoga Gardens, Lower Puna, Far East Big Island, Hawai'i - Monday, January 1, 2024

I live barefooted and naked, very close to Earth and Nature, in an 18-acre, off-grid, clothing-optional, food-forest intentional community (GaiaYoga Gardens), way out in the jungles of Lower Puna, far East Big Island, Hawai'i. I love my life, and I'm immensely grateful to live where and how I do, on my own terms! I would not want to live any other way! 😁🙏💚⚡💥🔥✴️✳️❇️👣🌱✨🤙

If we want to remove ourselves from the worldwide slave system it is absolutely essential that we, those who can see it, come together, both face to face and online, to co-create parallel counter systems, across all domains. This includes money/finance, food, health/medicine, energy, technology, materials and products, communication, among many others. This is a big reason that I live in an off-grid, food-forest intentional community in the jungles of far East Big Island, Hawai'i. It's also why I use Arch Linux, as well as why I'm building, growing, and saving on Hive, Bastyon, and Qortal.

As I've expressed often in my posts, that learning to become self reliant and self sufficient is a must. We truly do need to be able to grow, build, repair, improvise, make, and do things for ourselves, individually, as communities, and collectively worldwide. Taking responsibility for our own health (and everything else!), which means actually learning about health, healing, and nutrition, as well as growing, raising, and preparing our own food, is a huge part of this. Truly, this cannot be overstated!

Creating our own parallel counter economies is necessary to generate the resources that we'd need to build the other systems, which is exactly why Hive, as well as Qortal and Bastyon, are so immensely important. The incredible work that the @hivesucre team is doing in Cumaná, Sucre, Venezuela, where they've onboarded 60 local businesses to accept HBD as a valid form of payment, is a perfect example of how this can be brought into the practical world. What @hivelist is doing with their decentralized classifieds and NFT market on Hivelist.org, and with their store at Hivelist Store, are great examples of how this can be done online. AgoristMarket also announced their new website on the Qortal network, listing 282 vendors, just this morning, which is yet another excellent example of ways that this can be implemented.

The more that we are able to do and provide for ourselves, the less we'll have to rely on a thankfully-dying global slave system that is actively working for our demise and further enslavement. Once I saw this global system for what it was many years ago, I began a slow process of removing myself from it, and removing my dependence on it. Hence me living where and how I do now. For those that can't yet see the ever-more-obvious control/slave system in front of their eyes, I don't know what to say, other than I'm sorry. For those that can see it, we've got work to do!

I left the Flow House yesterday, Monday and New Year's Day, around 3PM, after finishing up my afternoon essential Hive tasks. I took some time to take photos for this post before diving into land work. For work, I collected a wheelbarrow full of Melochia leaves for cow-milking food, with Ano's help, then I did a round of digging up bunchie-top infected bananas. Once those tasks were done for the day, I did some work which was very inspiring to me, I planted two bobinsana saplings, that I had in pots, on either side of the pathway going up to the Flow House. That was a very satisfying way indeed to end my work day!

After working, I took a shower, strained out kefir for my kefir-honey-cinnamon-cacao blend, made myself food, then I returned to the Flow House, to dive into my evening round of Hive tasks and catching up on notifications. There was a community logistics meeting that I didn't attend, and haven't been for the last few weeks. I was able to get everything on Hive done just before 10:30PM, and after a quick round of token management, I went to bed just before 11PM. I slept well, waking up just before 7AM, doing another short round of token management, then getting out of bed to go make my superfood fire coffee.

It's now almost 12:45PM, so it's a marvelous time to end this post, so that I'm able to get to my afternoon round of essential Hive tasks, before leaving the Flow House in the later afternoon, to take photos for tomorrow's expression of this post, and then land work. I deeply appreciate you all so very much! Until tomorrow! Forward, onward, and upward, joyfully together! 😁 🙏 💚 ✨ 🤙
