What is Rise of the Pixels about ?
The game is about running a game development studio, you will take on a sitting game studio and go on a journey to create amazing games.
In the game you will assemble a talented team of NFT developers and designers to bring your games to life, as workers gain experience you will unlock unique traits that will help improve your gaming studio. It's also said that the beings in the "Pixelverse" may look human, but they also carry some alien capabilities.
Every game your studio works on, will be unique and come to life by the power of your directional prowess and the ability of your team to execute. With your chosen dev team you will have to choose where to spend your resources (Game engine, graphics, dialogue, etc.).
The in-game world evolves in real time, adapting to player choices and market trends. Game ratings and reviews are dynamically generated based on in-game dynamics and assisted by A.I.
As your games gain popularity and the ingame currency of $PXL starts to flow, you will get to expand your game studio empire to incredible hights.
This game is powered by the Hive Blockchain and is a Web3 game, which means the ingame currency of $PXL will be tradeable amongst other players and the NFTs you buy/receive will be tradeable also.
What is the Sale about ?
The game has currently 2 things for sale, Licenses and 8-Bit packs.
Licenses cost 8$ and from this you get 1 Game Developer Studio license which is required to earn rewards from the game and 1 Starter Pack (8-Bit) which is guaranteed to include a developer and a larger than usual drop of PXL coins. License is a 1 time purchase.

8-Bit packs cost 3$ each and there is only a supply of 30,000 of them. These are like booster packs of the game and you can get various of different things from this.
You are guaranteed to receive 1 Team Member NFT, 1 Accessory NFT and 100 PXL coins from each pack. For Team Member and Accessory NFTs there is a 20% chance to receive a rare or better NFT.
- Quickly about the difference of PXL Coins and PXL Tokens
there are 2 currencies in game, Coins and tokens. Both work exactly the same in-game and can be used for everything, but the difference is that PXL Coins cannot be withdrawn from the game while PXL Tokens can be.

My plans for Rise of the Pixels
I already bought the License for $8 and I will be buying a couple of the 8-Bit packs as well on the run. There are only 30,000 packs total so I for sure will want to get some before they run out :)
I won't be investing too heavily into this game at first, I will want to play and get a feel for it before I do that, but reading the Whitepaper I have a very good feeling for the future of this Web3 Game on the Hive blockchain.

You will be able to open license/packs during the open beta (release in the next few days...or even today 😁) to test and taste how the game is.
Everything you do in beta will be reset before the official release.
