My phone over food: The difficult choice

I spent so much time thinking about this until my head started to hurt. Trying to choose between my phone and food is like trying to choose between kids. Yes, it is that difficult for me.

I love food. In fact, no matter what you do to offend me, once you give me food, I'll forgive you. Food makes me happy, and not just any food, good food. I've always been a food lover for as long as I can remember.

I enjoy the amazing taste of different rice delicacies, the various soups and stew, and even snacks.

As you can see, food is a major part of my everyday life, just like many other people. However, despite my genuine love for food, my phone supersedes that love for food.

Having thought about it, I concluded that I could try going a day without food, but the same can't be said about my phone. A lot of my daily activities involve my phone. I can't imagine going a full day without it.

Right from the moment I wake up in the morning, I pick up my phone to check for messages and notifications. I'm always online doing one thing or another on the internet. It's a habit for me. I spend most of my time on hive. It's always fun for me exploring the hive platform, writing, posting, commenting and reading beautiful posts. When I'm not on hive, I take an online course or learn something online.

When I'm not doing any of that, I'm chatting with a friend or family. Then there's social media. I spend a good amount of time on social media. This also involves keeping up with the crypto market. I am a crypto enthusiast and I just love being informed of the latest happenings in the world of cryptocurrency. From what I've said so far, you can see that I spend the majority of my time on my phone. I won't forget to mention movies. Most times when I want to relax, I watch a movie or listen to some music.

There's never a dull moment with my phone. Being without my phone for a day would entail not carrying out most of my daily activities. My day will be blank for the most part. I would be bored out of my mind. Humans are social creatures. We like to interact and communicate with others. Our phones provide an avenue to do that seamlessly.

Of course, food is great. Most would say food replenishes your strength and gives you energy for the day and I agree with that. But I think I can forfeit food in place of my phone. My love for food is great, but my connection to my phone is greater. People make money on a daily basis with their phones these days. Such people would rather forego their food for a day than lose money because they weren't on their phones.
