A Week After.

Today makes it a week my brother and I traveled down to our home town for the purpose of our grandmother's burial. Having spent much on the burial, which was down last week Saturday, we almost couldn't make it ourselves.

We were however fortunate, when my elder brother called over the phone and told i prepare myself. I couldn't even ask him on how the money came about,all what was in my mind was the anticipation of seeing my babies(younger brothers) as well as meeting my cousins.

Oh.yes, i forgot to mention, this last journey was my second visit and the first of my elder brother to our home town.

You wouldn't blame us. In that aspect, I'll agree if you say my parents didn't try, at least they know for themselves now.

On the way….. It rained for about 20-25 minutes after the journey started. Our only luck was that the vehicle we were in has a conducive service for customers. That even when it rained, the air condition in the vehicle was turned on, this might be normal to some other countries around the world, but not in Nigeria..most especially with the increment of fuel, so therefore we thanked our lucky star.

After a while, the rain stopped and we were able to receive the fresh breeze of nature. I sat close to the window and was fortunate to have a better view.

Right there, i wondered so many things. I wondered why bushes or deep forest were always found while traveling.. In my mind isn't the world developed already?

Well, this thoughts were later interrupted when i slept a little before our arrival in Delta State.

Arriving Delta, the first thing that welcomed me was the woman who carried a rubber on her head, selling a bread called “Madiga”.

Oh my God! I was so tempted to buy, yes i was hungry, but that wasn't the only reason. I didn't still find in port harcourt, so in all excitement, i called the women selling it and brought #400.

The excitement was short lived when i remembered that I didn't take a picture of it before eating, and that was the last cash in my hand, so now i owe you a picture of my favorite local bread.

Finally, we got to our destination, since it was dark already, i couldn't take pictures with my family immediately. My elder brother and I were warmly welcomed by our aunties and uncles that we've never seen before in our life's.

It was an awesome atmosphere last week, and why am seated writing this, i couldn't just help smiling.. okay i slightly laughed after stating that😄

It was beautiful indeed and am glad my brother was able to afford our transportation at a dead end, i think i owe him too, he played a major role in our trip and the experience that followed, God bless you big brother and all those that read till the end❤
