I don't know about your household

But my boyfriend (and daughter as well) could eat ice cream all day if they had the chance. Don't get me wrong, I can truly enjoy an ice cream myself and I have my preferences for sure, but when I see my boyfriend eat big ice cream and then mention it was not enough and he needs more to fulfill his ice cream cravings, I wonder how he can eat two of these without feeling nausea. The answer probably lies within the fact that it's one of the few things that will never give him stomach issues after eating it. Not even if he overate ice cream, which makes me wonder how that's possible. I see him overreact to some food that I truly don't understand HOW that's possible while ice cream never gives him issues. Weird.

Usually there's ice cream

This means, especially during summer, that there usually is ice cream in the house and of course, the little girl gets lucky every time he has these cravings and that's actually why I hate these cravings the most. Simply because it's not something that I would like her to think that's normal. After all the creamy (luxury) ice creams, it's now time to leave these ice creams in the picture for what they are and move on to these homemade ice sticks in the freezer filled up with some juice or vitamins instead. Thankfully, a child's heart is easy to please and ice cream is ice cream! We found this watermelon juice recently that we wanted to try but it's not really something I'd drink so I figured, let's make ice cream of it and skip the heavy Italian ice cream for a bit.

The prices of Italian ice cream

The first image I shared above is from the ice salon across the street from our first apartment where we stayed for two weeks. During the second week, this salon opened and of course, we had to give it a try. It cost 3 euros for that little cup. You can't really see how little it is but it was very expensive compared to the ice cream trucks that Budapest had. I admit that the quality is much better so I guess we pay for that as well. Times have changed compared to years ago when we went out to get ice cream somewhere for 1, maybe 1,5 euros for a tiny cup like this. Therefore to me, it's not something I'd do too often, as ice can be bought in the shop for much less as well as I still have to try making my own ice cream. I never did it but I planned on trying that someday this summer.

Let's see if I can make that happen!

The reason I've been postponing this is simply that I fear it will be too good and my boyfriend will eat it all :-)

My wife and 3-year-old boy love ice cream too much. I also love it but I try to put restrains on all of our cravings. Too much is not good!

Thanks for sharing your story about ice cream.

Have a slice of !PIZZA with your ice cream :) and stay !ALIVE

I agree, I also try to not give in that often, I noticed that it gets easier every year to not get sucked into the ice cream trap :) lol

It's a nice treat but better not too often ;)

To tell you the truth I don't enjoy much the Italian ice cream but that could only be valid for the Italian icecream in my area, it's somehow unnaturally gummy in texture, not sure what they add to it.

Wish you a splendid weekend and the best ice cream available! 🤤

all the hoorahs, for ice cream. Here in PDC there is no shortage or variety. My favorite is these coconut ice cream bars at a local franchise. Only 25 pesos as well, makes it an affordable tasty treat.
