SSG Stackers Engagement Initiative #5 - 5 HSBI For Grabs - Winners & New Question

Silver gold stackers engagement initiative (1).png

It's that time of the week again!

Last week, I wrote this post with the question who your favourite web2 silver gold stackers content creators are.

Although I didn't respond to all comments yet until writing this new post, I read them all and I've also made sure to leave a vote in time this week. I suspected that @kerrislravenhill would share a list of valuable resources if she'd find some time to do so and she did not disappoint. I will add the link to her post here for you to check out as well.

In her post you can find a link to @silversaver888's Youtube channel too, which I already found earlier that week thanks to someone (or maybe it was the lady herself, I forgot) sharing this, which made me subscribe already.

Of course, there were more comments as a reply and I appreciate every single one of them!

Winner winner, chicken dinner!

This week's picks for 1 HSBI share each are: @kerrislravenhill, @kunschj, @coinjoe, @saffisara, @bulliontools

I will send out the shares after publishing and leave a comment with the screenshot after it's done. Let's build these HSBI shares together :)

This week's question

Let's see which question I picked for this week:

Silver gold stackers engagement initiative question.png

I'm very curious if this will be a no-brainer to all of you or that some really don't want to part with some items they collected over the years. It's a bit of an extreme one, I know, but hey, I like to mix it up for a bit of extra fun.

It doesn't matter if you leave a comment only or decide to write a post, but if you write a post, please drop a link in the comments so I will not overlook it.

Hoping for some nice engagement again everyone, it's been fun so far! Whenever my wallet let's me and there are more than 5 great comments, I will throw some extra shares as well, but only 5 are promised every week (for now).

My own answer

I figured it might be fun to also write my personal answer. In this case, I think as such a newbie stacker, also having faced many financial hardships in the past, I would pick having a financially secure future at this very moment. Not only because I value having everything secured, in the end, we all know that the world may change overnight and some shit hitting the fan that makes the future look very different. If that could be secured forever, I'd be very happy.

The second reason that I'd pick that one is because although I love my silver items so far, I don't have one yet that's so emotionally connected to me yet that I'd be devastated of losing it. I'd feel disappointed or sad, yes, but there's no special piece yet that I could not part with or could not be replaced by other beautiful items.

I bet the answers of the OG silver gold stacker members could be a LOT more interesting than reading mine, but alas, I figured I'd start writing my own answers to the questions as well from now on.

Have a lovely weekend!

Thanks for the HSBI! 😁

I can't speak for everyone, but I suspect most here would be willing to give up their favorite piece for a hypothetical guaranteed financial stability. I know I would. There are plenty of other beautiful pieces out there, and I'd still be free to buy silver and gold bullion

A no brainer! Financial stability for life vs an object that although loved, is still an object. However since this will never happen I'm happy to stick with my gold!

I think there wouldn't be any piece in the world that I wouldn't want to part with in trade for financial stability for life either..

Yes, I surely learned the hard way that parting with things seems so much harder than it actual is lol. But health is priceless!

How are you doing today?

Not too bad even though it's not six in the morning quite yet. It's been raining all night, the loud heavy downpour kind. Reminds me of tropical storm rain but colder! What are you up to today?

Thanks so much for the HSBI. As to this week’s question, it’s a no-brainer for me, for the same reasons you gave. I haven’t found a piece that I couldn’t part with. Also, I started stacking in order to secure my financial future, so parting with a single piece to secure that future would achieve my goals.

If only all choices were this easy. I'd easily go with option 1 without a second's hesitation. Having security would mean no stress and I could actually enjoy time with my kids and wife instead of having to constantly work to provide for them and still worrying about money. I'll go further than your option: I'd give up all my precious metal in a heartbeat if I could get that.

Haha, if only indeed! I figured there was just a slight change someone would have such an item but it turned out the way I expected :) thanks for answering, I appreciate the fact that people join the initiative :)

Thank you very much for the HSB 🙏
And that is a good question up there and I admit I have 2 silver pieces that I looove and are ones I have both emotion connection with as I got it from a friend, and the other cause it actually was my very first dragon collection and I often go back and see how far I come..
And I knew already then that I was obsessed with dragon silver 😜 lol

However... If times would come and I had to choose, I would give it up for financial stability for life.

And just to tease you I Will show you my 2 favorite so you see what I mean 😁 lol

10 oz dragon (my most heavy silver)
Details are incredleble.

Gift from witty

And this was my very first dragon and first ever buy and it is from the collection World of Dragons.
Think it was @dfinney who I learned about them from.

Isn't that a gorgeous silver?

But still... I would choose to give them up if I had to.

Have a wonderful weekend and Thank you for bringing the fun.
Much love and Hugs 🤗❤️💋🤗

Hello dear, I read this comment the day you wrote it but I read it on my phone and thought I'd answer later, and then life.. you know :)

I remember that amazing piece from Witty, so beautiful! I can imagine that's a bit of a tricky one but in the end, financial stability is surely way more important. Honestly, I don't think I'd ever be able to put an item (whatever it is) first from financial stability.

Thanks for sharing the picture, they bring in more fun!

Have a good weekend and I will write the new post tomorrow :)

This is an interesting question, @thisismylife

For me, it is a no-brainer.

I have fallen in love with collecting silver rounds, The amazing artwork and stories behind each round is awesome.

I have to thank @maddogmike for getting me hooked on collecting silver rounds.
I love how a stack of silver rounds feels in my hand, lol.

One of my top reasons for collecting silver is its intrinsic value. It will be a good thing to have if the SHTF. I will still have some bargaining power.

The absolute truth is that if parting with my most treasured piece would provide me and my family with long-term financial security, I would sell it without hesitation.

My family's financial security is far more valuable.

Thank you for sharing that story how you got into silver thanks to @maddogmike!

And a smart answer if you ask me, that would give so much piece of mind, wouldn't it?

Nice to see you pop up here again, tomorrow I will announce the HSBI winners and new question.. Have a good weekend :)

Since I don’t have my actual dream piece yet. The answer is fairly easy for me. I’d take finacial security. I do have several pieces that I don’t ever want to part with, but for that I gladly would. Also with finacial security at some point I might be able to buy that dream piece…

Another one in line with my expectations, but it's nice to see it all confirmed that even the amazing pieces we collect over the years can't top financial security..

Thanks for joining and I will follow up on this post tomorrow, have a good weekend!

I will take a secure financial future always. That is why we are stacking while we can.... it is our go-to ... to sell and get rid of before we even hit the financial problems. The stack is supposed to do that.
Wow, thanks for mentioning my channel. It reminds me to upload something.
Thanks for the prompts, @thisismylife !!! Keep it up!

I can imagine that it must feel very good to have silver available to sell when some unexpected costs appear that you'd normally couldn't cover. I'm clearly far from being there yet, but it's a work in progress and everyone had to start somewhere, right :)

And of course I mentioned it, you should let us know when you uploaded something so we can watch it..

Tomorrow I will announce the winners and write a new prompt, today I had to push out my LOH contest entry first otherwise I'd be too late !LOL

Have a good weekend!

It is great to see you active once more, @thisismylife!
That's what I have done for myself- decide which communities and when to post on each. But it is so hard to balance all activities (work, personal, social media, etc.)
Enjoy!

This is an easier question than it may seem like at first: every stacker does admire the shiney, and have some items that are tempting to hold on to forever, but few have lost sight of the ultimate goal, which is financial freedom and stability. If the stack could be exchanged for permanent financial security, most would choose to do this, I know I would.

Another answer in the line of expectations, thank you for taking the time to come her to answer @ironshield, I appreciate it!

I would too :)

Tomorrow a new question and the winners, have a good weekend..

That's easy , I don't have a single piece that is so precious it's worth more than financial security for life 🤣 !BBH

The sole reason behind my gold, silver, and Crypto stacking is to build our own Financial security since no one is going to do that for me. After understanding how truly how fragile our economic system is build on smoke, mirrors, and counter-party risk both Deb and I worked to build a savings and a variety of secure income streams for our household. We sacrificed a lot to get where we are. She would understand if I have to do that to achieve that goal and in keeping in the spirit of her legacy.

This 1765 Carlos III 8 Reales was an indulgence on the collecting side of the plan.
Besides, I will still have the Philip IV 8 Reales Cob.

She would understand if I have to do that to achieve that goal and in keeping in the spirit of her legacy.

I'm sure she would as she knows you would only do it for the right reasons. Reading parts of your story and your friendship with her has shown me you had a connection that many people could only dream of and a true friendship only wishing the best for each other for life.

You are a strong woman and it's inspiring to read how you are determined to make sure you can handle everything if shit hits the fan one day.

Thanks for being an inspiration <3

Would be a no-brainer for me.
Although it wouldn't be that easy to hand in my favorite one, I would still do so. The trade-off just makes it so much favorable for me. Could still use the money to buy other coins as well.

The sentimental value would be the hardest part but got several other objects with memories to the person of who I got the coin of.

Love the dilemma way of asking your question though! 🙌

Totally understandable and in the line of expectations when I asked the big question :)

You know what, even though the actual item of a very memorable piece would be gone, you'd still have the actual memories and probably pictures.

I personally have less problems leaving stuff behind after some emigrations where I had to be very picky, lol. Honestly, I hope I never have to move countries with a silver collection :)

Have a nice weekend, tomorrow I will publish the follow up post...
