A shadow at the Spanish coast - My entry for the Shadowhunters contest round 226
It's been a while!
Since I bumped on some pictures with shadows, when I do, I remind myself to check if I would like to enter the shadowhunters contest with it or not. This time I thought the picture was cool enough to enter.
Walk along the beach
This picture was taken during a very windy day when I took my daughter out to the ATM as the next day, we needed to pay the agency fee in cash when signing our rental agreement. I like to be prepared and not wait until the last day, just to be sure and in this case also because I knew the moving part was going to be very exhausting and probably stressful enough without us needing to find an ATM. We decided to walk on the boulevard as I loved the clear sky and wanted to take a few pictures on the beach while walking.
No idea about the wind
I never experienced a wind this strong in Spain before, there were parts where we just were blown away almost. After I took this picture from a walking path holding my phone above the wall that was there (this terrace was actually built higher than where we were walking), we quickly moved on to our destination to discover this wind was insanely strong. We planned on maybe going to the beach for the first time to swim but the wind truly made it impossible as well as the days after.
The ATM visit did not go according to plan
My ATM card got swallowed! But at least I got this cool shadow picture to enter the contest!
The sky did not show how strong the wind was that day, if you didn't know better, you'd think this was a bright and perfect beach day, haha.

It does look like a perfect day to go to the beach. Photos do not always show things exactly as they are. The Shadows are great though and it's nice to see an entry from you. I hope you got your ATM card back.
Awesome shadow. What's even better is lounging under the shade with the breeze coming in from the water.

Until the next morning because the banks close at 2.30 mostly here and it happened just before 5 PM. So I went there in the morning and within 5 minutes I was done and walked out with my card :)
