Town Fiesta: Distribution of Food Packs Activities

First of all, it was a great and successful festival activities we did here at the Church, and I am very happy about it. Greetings everyone, every June 13 we celebrated the Town festival here and most of the residents here in the town are serving more different kinds of delicious foods for their visitors, Families, relatives and Friends who will visited and joined the special occasion. This is already a great traditions and culture to all Catholics in a way of Thanksgiving for the blessings they received for the whole year.

Last day, our Church leaders told us about the big activities On the date of Town fiesta and this is today, He told us to get ready and meet up at the Old Convent, the place were we cook and pack the foods for the Church Goers for their Lunch after the Mass. I felt very excited about it and it will be very happy and glad to do the tasks and activities to bring happiness to other people.

Yesterday, at exactly 10 In the Morning when we started to went at the old convent and prepared the things we use for cooking the foods. My Parents was also very busy to buy those primary ingredients for the foods for the church goers. First, we cleaned the kitchen utensils just like Spoons, Forks, plates, glasses, Cups and other Kitchen utensils. While others are buying ingredients to the Public Market. It would be very perfect to buy early so that we can started to cook the dish and finish early.

After that other are very busy to clean the meat and slices it before cooking it. We spent a lot of time at the old convent doing the things for the upcoming town festival. Everybody was very busy doing their obligations and tasks.

Our Church leader told us to spend the night at the old convent and keep busy by pelling those potatoes and carrots vegetables. Good thing we brought sleeping materials just like blanket and pillows. My Daughter was at my Parents and asked them to take care of my Daughter for a day and I was at my Husband in the old convent helping the activities. We spend night at the place and it was around 3 in the morning when we finished slicing and cooking the foods for the visitors. It was very challenging for us because we did not sleep for a night just to finish the work and started to pack at the styro pack lunch. The dish we cook was adobo, Bihon, Fried chicken, and Calderita. Others started to cook rice early in the morning so that it can also include at the packed lunch.

A moment later, other church members also came and offered help for us. They also help cooking the foods for the church goers, it will be very easy and the job can easily done. Everyone has their obligations and tasks so that the work will finished on time. Everybody was very happy to do their tasks and obligations and it was very enjoyable. A moment later, our Priest was came and asked us if the foods are ready, and as we told us that the foods is nearly ready He was satisfied and felt very happy.

As the rice was already cooked, they decided to put in a clean cooler and started to packed in the styro pack. The estimation of the church goers will reach up to 2500 people including the Children, that is why we decided to do 2,600 Packed lunch. The 100 pieces are the excess so tht there will be enough food for everyone. Some of my Co-church member friends are very busy putting a rice in this styro including the viands.

Others are also very busy adding the viands in the styro, it takes a few hours and we did the tasks very fast so that the foods can be distributed when the church mass finish. We also if each packed lunch contains the right amount and all kinds of foods and gladly it fills up exactly and complete. It was already 11:30 In the morning today when we finished packing all the foods and ready to distribute. 12 NOON, when the Mass was finished and all church goers are waiting outside of the Church. We distribute the packed lunch and everyone was receiving the delicious foods.

5 In the Afternoon when we finished our Job, and before we leaved at the convent we cleaned the kitchen utensils first and after that, we finally went back home. It was a tiring but enjoyable day happens to my Life and it brings happiness to all people. Thank you for visiting my post, have a nice day everyone.
