🚿 Showering Grandma For Blessing And More! 👵
When I visited my brother house in the Khmer new year days, we had a lot of fun together. On the last day of the new year, we bathed my grandmother, who was my distant grandmother and my brother-in-law's mother-in-law. In the Khmer tradition, we sometimes bathe our mother, father or grandmother on New Year's Day and they bless us.
She has 10 children, all of whom are her children and grandchildren. There were still children and many grandchildren did not come together. She is also my mother’s friend but my mom old more than her.
When I see like this to make me miss my mom so much. If my mom still has life I can give her the bath and take care her.
This is a market in the countryside. The people have a lot of fresh vegetables growing by their own hands for sale there. These fish the people catch from the lake. I do not take pictures of them more because the people look at me very strange when I take the pictures. It’s made me feel so shy for getting photos from there.
This is wild fruits near my brother’s house. When I was a kid I picked them a lot lot for eat but now I just pick a few fruits for taste. If the fruit is very ripe, it is sweet, but if it is not ripe, it has a bitter taste.
This is a red corn.
I bought some sour fruit and we eat with salt with chilli. I came here for three days, but I had a lot of fun together.

I can imagine missing one's mother on days like these.
How sweet that you were also included in this tradition.
I also feel a little hesitant to take pictures of public spaces, especially when I don't buy products at certain stalls. But whenever I feel confident I do ask for permission to take photos and for the most part they grant the permission. They see it as a little promotion of their products.
This is very good traditions, even here in our country [Philippines], we want blessings from our elders.
Yes, it’s really a good tradition but some people throw it away now.
Thank you so much for your support.
I didn't know that you have such bathing tradition in there, but I think the purpose of it is very deep and with all the respect for the elders. Anyway, I haven't seen a red corn so I was mesmerized when you shared it. I am glad to know that you had so much fun during your stay in there.
Thank you so much dear for your kind words. Have a nice day.
