My Neighbor Makes A Party For Himself Because He Got A Promotion & More 🥗

I just came back from my village party and I want to share it with you guys. My villager, he is a soldier and he made a party, got promoted and also celebrated his little daughter's birthday. He invited us last week after and after he left, my husband asked me, he makes a party for got promoted? I said yes, he said, it’s really? He asked me again, it’s normal in Cambodia to make this party? I said maybe but I am not sure because this is my first party. He said that it is not normal for people to make a party for themselves, usually only friends or family do.

This party hires a chef in Thmor Da, but they also have land in our village and we know each other very well. They also hired my brother to cook for the party.

They invite 400 guests for the equivalent of 40 tables per table is 10 people. A table meal costs 410,000 riel, equivalent to $ 100.

The party starts at 5pm, but a lot of people come at 7pm.

I left at 5 o'clock, so there were not many guests, and I returned home at 6 o'clock, when the guests had just started to gather.

They have 8 dishes and beer, orange juice and cakes but I do not get all the food because I came home first.
