Site Visits to Wingers Unlimited

Hey Hivers! How's it going? I hope you are all doing amazing.

It was October 8, Saturday. We were scheduled for 3 site visits to 3 different projects. We met at the first point with the associate architect and four(4) of us apprentices. While waiting for our principal architect to arrive (because we were going to ride in his car), we were talking and taking some pictures. And yeah, it was early in the morning. I left at 6 a.m. and arrived at my destination at quarter to eight.

We arrived earlier than the two new apprentices.

All girls apprentice with our Associate Architect.

All the projects we are going to site visit are residential. When we arrive at the first site, construction is on-going. We then wore hard hats and checked the place. My co-apprentices handled that project, so I just listened to their discussion for me to know also and to learn how things work on the site and where they are going now in the project. They discussed some minor changes about the stairs. It was so hot at that time. The construction site and the tree shade were a little too far apart. We took pictures for documentation and then went on to the next site. We just stayed there for about 45 minutes because we were following the time frame scheduled.

The following project was also residential, but unlike the first and third (later), this one for a new kitchen was simply extending at the back of the existing house and required new tiles and repainting of the exterior of the house. We just checked the location, and the workers have already built a bang house next to the residential with all the materials needed to begin construction. The owner was there. We introduced ourselves. The principal architect talked with him. Then we went on to the last site. At that time, it was already gloomy and a little rain started to drizzle.

I haven't taken any photos from my phone because I left it inside the car.

The last site was a huge residential project. It is situated alongside a cliff and overlooks a part of the city. That time it was raining already. We headed to the site, started taking pictures, and checked on the progress. I have already been to this site before, but the newer apprentices haven't yet. The head architects just spoke to the workers about the updates and such, and we, the apprentices, just talked about the project and the materials used and such. Not long enough, we bid goodbye to the site and the workers.

It was the post-birthday of our principal architect , so the rest of us decided to surprise him and got dibs to buy him a cake. He decided we would have our lunch at Wingers Unlimited in Talamban Branch. I was told to make the reservations ahead of time while traveling to the last site. The principal architect dropped us first at Wingers because he had to go to the university near the area to get some stuff.

When we arrived, it was packed with people because it was around 12 NN. So we sat at our reservation table. We ordered food ahead and then ordered the cake from Grab and had it delivered to the place. When Sir got to the place, we started eating and getting drinks at the counters (self-service for getting drinks and ice cream). The cake was arriving at any minute, so we told them we were going to get drinks to be excused. We then executed the plan. We gave the money to one of the employees at Wingers and had him take the cake and pay. And then we told him to serve the cake later when we signaled after we were done eating. And the plan worked. We got back to our seats like nothing happened.

We were talking, eating, and having a good time.

We chose the 399 with unlimited wings, rice, fries, drinks, and ice cream. The price was worth it. And the sauces for the chicken wings were good too. The chicken was cooked well and the fries were perfect. Two of us didn’t do unlimited rice because we wanted to enjoy the chicken and fries.

Unlike the branch at Mango Square that @jeennicious blogged about, I can say that this branch is a lot different and, I guess, a lot better.

So back to the surprise. One apprentice went to "refill" her drink, but also went on to signal the employees for the cake. When we were all seated, the employees came towards our table with the cake, while singing Happy Birthday. Our sir was surprised and shocked at the same time. We sang along and clicked videos and pictures.

We ate some pieces of the cake, got some ice cream, and talked and laughed.

Afterwards, we decided to take off and head in our respective destinations.

I then went home directly, with a fun day and a happy tummy. Finally, I tried Wingers Unlimited. Check!

Thank you, Hivers, for reading up until here. I appreciate it a lot. All the best!
