revisiting haystack rock
I love my Driftless area landscapes, here in Wisconsin, but man, the mighty Pacific Ocean is an absolute wonder. I know lots of folks enjoy getting closeups of the sun on the water and large waves...I appreciate those views too. Yet nothing draws me in more than clouds...I love them!
I took these with Pixel 7 Pro while visiting the Pacific Northwest. I traveled extremely light and had a Canon Powershot with me until my daughter cracked the lens...so the Pixel it was.
Again, I love my Driftless Region, but the ocean is a mighty thing to behold (and photograph!) I did my best with what I had...
A question for fellow enthusiasts....what camera do you bring along when traveling light? A phone? A compact? Or even a full-body kit? As always, I'd love to hear any feedback! Thanks for checking out my work!

That's a question that I ask myself too.
As getting older I hesitate more and more to carry 10-12 kg backpacks, at a certain point I will have to sell some of my equipment and buys something light. But here comes the "zoom" issue. There isn't any good universal lens so I guess I'll end with some full frame mirrorless and two lenses or I will finally surrender and travel with a phone only. :)

Oh, that lack of phone sexiness is just for you and me, I know people who's best achievement is buying their phone, costing them a few salaries. I cannot comprehend that, not at all...
