f.64 Friday

For Friday's share, I opted to attempt (keyword, attempt, yet again) to approach the Group f/64's aesthetic. The f/64 group was a 1930's collection of California photographers who focused on "sharply detailed, purist photography." The movement was a contrast against Pictorialism; Pictorialism focused on the "essence" of reality. The f/64 group thought to document reality.

I tried to get this sensibility with the photo above; the winter trees were shot against the backdrop of a snow-covered forest.
