The Reality of Micro Earning

Since the advent of LeoThreads, I observe that the $LEO rewards I get are increasing. Before the launching of this microblogging platform, I could hardly earn 1 $LEO. But now, 5 $LEO and up seems becoming common.

This got me curious and so I checked Hive Engine Explorer and this is what I saw:

I have no other explanation for this increase but the LeoThreads and @leo.voter’s support for the articles I wrote. This is just a recent development; I think less than a month ago. To be exact, it started last 15 May #LPUD, two weeks after the launching of the Zealy Campaign.

LeoThreads is now making micro-earning a reality. That’s @taskmaster4450’s response to me when I shared about the impact of microblogging on my account growth.

Since March 2022, I have been doing micro-investing when I learned from TM about the idea of Hive as a compounding machine via layer two tokens. But this reality of micro-earning is something fresh that most people would find surprising especially those who don’t know anything yet about the power of Web 3. I suspect that even here on Hive, many still don’t see the potential of this kind of opportunity offered to us by LeoThreads. How I wish that other tribes too will start to appreciate this kind of chance that we can rarely find anywhere else.

To make this micro-earning thing more concrete and understandable, I made a little mathematical experiment.

50% of $0.11 will go to my wallet after 7 days. That’s $0.055. It seems very insignificant.

That is exactly the point, we usually take small things for granted, but we don’t realize that without these small things, we will not see big things, and when it comes to Hive and LeoFinance, the small things matter such as micro earnings.

Yes, not all comments and threads receive such an amount of upvotes. However, for the sake of illustration, let us just say that you receive 10 upvotes each day on your micro posts and so you will have $1.1. Multiply that by 30 and you will have 33 USD in a month.

In the Philippine peso, that is 1,846.68. Divide it by 2 and you will have 923.00 PHP every month. And then multiply it by 12 to get the yearly yield and you will come up with 11,076 PHP.

You get the point. Things become bigger through small things. That’s one thing I learn here on Hive. Except for patience and having a long-term time frame, never take small things for granted. All of them go together: patience, waiting, and micro-earning.

Come to think of it. How much money do you set aside for savings the last time you received your salary? Or did you just spend them all?

Are you laying down the groundwork now for a better financial future? Are you sowing seeds so you can harvest fruits several years from now? When are you going to do it?

With micro earnings offered on Hive, especially on LeoFinance, no one has an excuse. At the minimum, if you are willing to devote more or less two years of your time, most likely you will come up with a similar result just like mine. Or perhaps better if you won’t follow my path roaming around Hive for 8 months not knowing what’s going on around me. And of course, there are also other factors to consider such as your ability to engage, the speed of your learning, and the additional capital you are willing to risk.

Remember, the example I made is just for a small account like mine and I didn’t take into consideration the compounding potential of a growing account.
